Wonderful!! Cathy and Dan, We are truly enjoying your "adventure". Thank you for keeping us informed. Many continued blessings. Later on...Aunt Carol and Uncle Scotty
Great Stuff We are really enjoying your narrative and pictures. Makes it feel like we are there, without having to worry about sharks, baboons, lions, tigers, cheetahs, oh my. Thanks for doing this. Glad to see that someone finally got the camera out of Dan's hands. For a while we thought maybe he wasn't actually there.
Love, Dad and Marcia
fun day Wow - sounds like you guys are having quite an adventure! We can't honestly say, "we wish we were there," after reading Dan's account of your shark (i.e. vomit) outing - and the poor dead seal :) We love you and hope your Bush adventure goes better! The Wood Family
Relief for Lillian Everyone in Illinois is relieved that Aunt Cathy was not eaten by sharks. When Lillian found out her Aunt Cathy was to dive with the sharks she became very upset. She told her Mom and Dad that Cathy should not get in the water with sharks because she was very afraid of sharks (childhood story that still lives). She even wrote a letter to send to Cathy to warn her to stay out of the water.
Relief aside, it looks and sounds as if you are having a great time. I am looking forward to your next entry. Love, Mom
sharks you know dan-o they're attracted to whales...not sure I'd take the shirt off if I were you! i know that was cruel... :-)
if it makes you feel any better, i'm sitting in sometown, Indiana at a smelly marriott getting ready to go eat a chicken dinner at a political event. you get the last laugh.
wOw Just when I thought passing the days as a housewife in suburban DC was the pinnacle of exitement, you all have to show me up with your amazing adventures in Africa. Way to go! The blog comentary was just hilarious and the photos were absolutely fabulous. Have a little fun for me, eh?
go, slacker, go! This is quite a surprise but a wonderful one. Cathy: best of luck with your first overseas trip. I'm so proud of you for leaving work to head off on this grand adventure. Hope it is the first of many more to follow... I look forward to hearing more from you (and your travelling mates) on the road. Cheers! SVM, the original Slacker
Adding to the plotline Seems like I'm expected to argue politics, just for the sake of keeping the plot going! And, it is difficult to stay away from the topic in politically vibrant SA. There surely will be adventures with this cast. Much more to come....
No worries Dan and Cathy, you should have no worries... any couple who can get through a McLagan family Christmas with our 3 kids can handle the African wildlife with ease. Have FUN!!! We hope to join you on your jaunts in a few more years. Hi Adam!!!!
