This was our destination after being on the road for 4 days through New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. We planned on 4 full days here which turned out to be just the right amount of time to relax and explore the city and surrounding area. We wanted to tour the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library and Museum. This is the second presidential library we have seen and they are very educational and help you remember how much a president has done in his term. The library is located on land overlooking the Arkansas River. Our r.v. park was just across the river so we could walk across the river on a pedestrian bridge. Traveled to Ruidoso, N.M. and enjoyed the cool pine trees. Spent 1 day crossing the Texas Panhandle and stopped in McLean, Texas where Dale spent several summers in his teenage years. Spent another day crossing the Oklahoma Panhandle and found a beautiful state park at Lake Eufaula. Lots of dense forests with pine and oak trees and rolling hills. There has been so much rain, exceeding all of their normal ranges, there are ponds everywhere and green ... read more

Arrived here Saturday to spend time with our friends Hope and Ted Keyes. We have known them for over 30 years after first meeting them when we lived Page/Lake Powell. We took a jeep trip to Mt. Lemmon about 3 hours by a back road. Mt. Lemmon is at 9,000 feet and the temperature went from 80 degrees in Tucson to 60 degrees on the mountain. We had a great lunch at the Iron Mountain Restaurant with a view to the valley below. We will be leaving Monday morning for New Mexico.... read more

We decided it would be fun to have a journal of our trip. We have a number of friends who do not have Facebook and they wanted to hear about our travels. We are looking forward to sharing our photos and experiences along the way. We are traveling in a 28' travel trailer. We are visiting new locations near RV parks and also staying with friends and family along the way. We have planned this trip for several years and we have the time and decided this was the best summer to do it! Our departure date is Saturday, May 16, 2015. See you on the road...... read more
