Just caught up on your tale Hi sweetie,
Just read the past few weeks in your journal. Being away in Myrtle Beach, then having my cataract surgery (when I couldn't read or use the computer for a while) put me well behind.
But what a lovely time I had reading your stories. You really should write a book. Sounds as though your experience could have been better, but hopefully, you have been able to get everything you need for your studies. Glad to hear you've recovered from ass grabbing, stalking, cock roaches (hey, they're everywhere--even Myrtle Beach). And some day I'll have to tell you about my "admirer" experiences in Germany, Spain and Africa. Now that you have become a famous model, you won't have the time of day for us. Looking forward to your safe return and lots more stories. Continue to be careful. Saw an interesting documentary on the Bangladeshi "steel workers" who dismantle ships destined for the graveyard. Of course they do it for the steel, working horrible hours for very rich entrepreneurs there who buy the ships from foreign countries like Russia etc. Along with all of the scrap steel, which they dismantle by hand, they gets lovely things like asbestos and have all sorts of nasty job accidents. Kids of 12-13 were doing it just to make money to live. We're dumping our garbage on their beaches so we don't have to pay to get rid of it.
Another good DVD TV series is "24". We got hooked on it in Myrtle and that's what we did everynight! Love to you from both of us. Take care.
Don't hide for too long with "Mcdreamy" As usual your stories and daily thoughts of life in Bangladesh are so captivating they feel almost as if they are happening to me. I can close my eyes, drink in your words and feel I am there with you (perhaps maybe one of the many flies on your wall). I thank you for that. I look forward to hearing more on your life in Bangladesh and on the work you are doing. I have taken to printing your stories and reading them to Ava before bed. Although, she seems more interested in the paper they are printed on then the stories themselves, I am certain she will come to appreciate them in time. I will keep them for her in her scrap book and someday she will read them herself, but for now I will continue to read them to her and hope hearing your words will in some small way keep her connected to her Auntie Natalie.
We miss you and look forward to your safe return

You make me feel like I'm there Congratulations on navigating and buying successfully. Pearls for $10. My curiosity turns to those oil paintings. I'd love to be there. You must have a plan of sorts regarding how you're going to proceed and once that starts, you won't be talking of "time on your hands". The time will fly. Enjoy it while you have it. Christening by the way went very well. Ryan and Katie were wonderful help. Geof and I exhausted. We're on our way to Myrtle Beach Saturday, but hopefully we'll be able to stay connected. I told "work" I wasn't taking my laptop and perhaps I shouldn't, but....
Keep enjoying yourself. The rickshaw ride sounds like a blast. You're allowed to feel proud of yourself.
Love Marsha (and Geof)
Back in 'Bong' Hi sweetie,
Nice to hear that you made it safe and sound. Here goes another wonderful adventure! Yes, your past experiences will serve you well and you'll be like an old pro on the ground. Don't be nervous. You are amazing and will accomplish everything you set out to do. Good luck. I know Darren will be missing you a lot, especially on your anniversary. We will look forward to hearing of your adventures.
Our little world traveller As usual, you take off from one location and land in another, on your feet running! Great to hear that you are back in the 'Desh safe and sound. Hopefully the lessons that you learned on the first trip will help you navigate this adventure with a little more ease. Too bad about the Canadian Club ... personally I think you should just sneak in when no one is looking! Keep the news flowing ... we love living vicariously through you ;-)
Hugs and kisses from the Tail
