Derek glad to get another posting on your blog. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun, which really is the whole point of the trip !
Do you think you are going to get to the Thai-Burma railroad built in the Second World War with slave labour and prisoners of war ? If you do can you get me some pictures of the railroad and the Bridge over the River Kwai. You may have seen the movie ( only as a re-run as you are too young, it came out in the early 60\'s ) And if you go up there and see parts of the old railroad, if you can get me a railroad spike that would be something I would really treasure. Apparently a 1000 men died building the railroad for every mile, 110 miles long. Think of 110,000 deaths at the hands of the Japanese, don\'t get me started. Anyway glad to see you are still having a great time, enjoy as February will come pretty fast.

Great lunch! Hey D,
Lovin' the entries from the other side of the planet. I know you are having a blast. Keep up the great work - but not too much work.
Fascinating! Hey Cuz,
Soooo glad you decided to blog. It's absolutely fascinating! Horrible to hear about the child sex industry, but that's no secret. Can't wait for tomorrow's post re: SOI COWBOY!! Behave yourself, young man! Meanwhile, I'm gonna go look for a little 'Mango Delight' of my own! ;-)
Hey Edwina I'm glad you liked it. I haven't tried anything that exotic yet but all of the places I've been to are either near our hotel or near the embassy, so a little more tame. Tonight we're going to one of the red light districts for drinks and I'm sure they'll have something like that there. I'll definitely take some photos/video if I do.

Sawasdee Ka! Fantastic job on your travel blog Khun Derek. I'm enjoying reading about this once in a lifetime experience! I'm also impressed you're eating "street meat" from the stands and alley ways. Have you tried any of their snack foods like deep fried bugs yet? :)
Shanghai Tang I laughed so much about what some people will wear. Great blog, I guess I should have done the same thing when we were away. Super interesting.

Airport Security
It's nice to know they take security seriously...before you board the plane, but once in the air...it's a free for all!
