Green with Envy Hey Christoph,
Just thought i`d have a quick nosey at your tour blog to see what you guys are upto.
I`m very jealous, Niagra Falls is still on my "to do" list.
Have fun on the rest of the tour and say hi to everyone for me.
Cheers
Sim

on the road again..... Glad to see you back at it. It is cool to read the blogs. Hope all is well. Give me the heads up when you get close by (KC?). I'll spring for food and drink for the band. Happy Veg oil hunting. P says hi. G
california dreamin' Enjoyed the desert pics. You may have a profession in your next life. Give me a call when you fly thru from idaho. I will buy everyone FOOD and DRINK. That ought to encourage a stop. (I know you are pressed for time). Be safe. G
rush hour mmmmmm, sf bay rush hour. i almost missed a flight back here while stuck on the bay bridge due to sf rush hour.
hey, aren't you back here now or something?
greetings from another former penguin in the desert Aside from the stabber, it seems you had a great time in the desert... The pictures remind me when I was walking alone in the desert of Coahuila (northern Mexico), earlier this year, trying to reach a paleontological site (dressed in black, of course). It's been quite interesting reading your travelblog. I've realized we really didn't have that much problems at Dada X, at least in comparison with some of the stuff you've had to go through, but, still, I wouldn't have minded sharing the ride...
bastard cacti hey man, awesome pics....i felt like i was almost checking an issue of national geographic as those are some crazy wicked looking plants :)
i hope you trampled the one that snagged you after taking its pic. charlton heston would have.
The new collection system So how much oil did you grab and how long did it take? Christoph I just wanted to say thanks for taking us all along for the ride....
Damn... Damn dude.....I know for a fact that you have played some pretty crappy venues ;), so for you to say this was the worst is something. The cockroach bit creeped me out the most. I imagine they weren't the friendly Minnesota variety, but rather the southern big ugly mamas.
i just sat down to read your blog so i finally got the time to actually sit down and read the things you have written. sounds like you guys are having an interesting show. i hope your actual production experience gets better. i miss you and you owe me a drink! have fun, save a shirt for me
faster pick up on vegi... B-
I sugest you a 12v deicer wire (heat tape) and make a coil you in the shape of a hoop to submerge with the pick up....I believe that they even have some with thermostats to ajust the temp...that might heat the oil and make it easier to pump...just an idea... or get a submercible transfer pump.... a piston style might just due the trick...good luck and keep rolling...I keep wishing I could just follow along....
4 hours to transfer? Hey Christoph, sounds like things are chugging right allong...Ask B why it took so long to pump the grease...and good luck at the next show...Happy B-day Laurie...
Good luck to you guys I have to agree with Ben. It was a nuts situation. I, too, hope our future meetings will be met with better circumstances. Good luck in all you do, your music is really an inspiration
Ah yes, the all too familiar land of hyuckery Man, I hope by this point things are turning up. I never did care for Kentucky much. Jeez. I think the next group of suck-ass people you guys run into you should throw them in a grease trap!
whoa horsey! Ha ha... sounds like you're having quite the "adventure!"
Hey whatever doesn't kill you makes ya stronger, yeah? ;D
Keep on rocking in the "free" whirl, man. It'll get better!
...cheers! :)
I'm the drummer for 2 bands, "High Blue Star" and "Autumn. I love touring and traveling. There are so many cool and weird people, places, and things to see out there and not nearly enough time to do/see them all. My band travels in a bus called the Nebuchadnezzar that runs on used vegetable oil. Much more cost effective and environmentally friendly too.
I started a blog on Blogspot... http://liquidark.blogspot.com/
