SMC Boys!
Hi Chris and Markus! Great to hear you are hanging in there! I remember the heat can be very stifling for us Adelaideans not used to the humidity. We received your results today - well done lads! Look forward to hearing from you some time upon your return. Mr Byrne

Jessy Kappa
Hi Jessy, no worries, although Chris and Marcus were rather indignant when I read your message out to them! I'm hoping to nab their cameras and upload their pics onto the blog at some stage this week! They have been absolute superstars at Keesera...

Ange, you are God send !!!! thanks for your descriptive updates and the photos, cause though we comminucate with the boys, they dont seem to be very descriptive, you seem to give us a clearer picture of whats happening there. Say hello to Chris and Marcus for me. Cheers - Jessy(Chris' mum)

OH&S
Hi Chris and Chas! All is well. I think that Alex is the one who can carry the most bricks...9 at a time, at last count! As for the soccer match, we are giving the soccer field a makover this week while there are no workers and we are hoping to have a match later this week or early next week. Today we painted the goal posts and found some paint to reline the field. We (well some of us) were hard at work repaving the badminton and volleyball courts, levelling them out and painting the posts. The food here is great! Everyone has seconds most nights. The curd is a huge hit, especially with fries...There's talk of a Bollywood film this weekend and a trip to Film City in Hyderbad...but apparently there's a protester on hunger strick in the city and there is no public transport and its unsafe to travel there...I love this place!! We'll keep you posted! Talk soon! Ange

OH&S?
HI Everyone, It sounds as if the obstacles are becoming more amazing!. The games sound fun and you are right they help to pass the time, help forget about the heat and the hunger pangs as lunchtime nears. What is the favourite dish of the group?Have any of you tried the curd with your meals? What about the soccer match?Has that taken place yet? Br Victor loves nothing better than a competitive match, so suggest it to him. Take Care, Chris and Chas

Hi Pascal, its certainly different to what we would be used to in Australia. The OH and S standards are practically non-existent but Larry and I are doing our best to keep the boys safe, whatever obstalces are in our path of work! Every day is exciting, the kids are so so happy to see us and come running up to us to shake hands and ask us what our names are! There's definitely a warm fuzzy feeling surrounding this place! All the best for the end of year and happy festivities! Ange and Larry :)

Brother Denis
Hi Brother Denis! Thanks for your comment! There are more workers at the site this week and there is more progress. At this point in time, we have perfected the art of shifting sand and bricks! Collectively, I think our least favourite job is shovelling gravel...but all is well. Some of the boys have decided that adopting the traditional dress of a dhoti may be better so have gone into Nandigama to find them...I'll keep you posted on whether they last or not!! When do you set off? Hope everything is in order before your departure... Ange xo

Hi
Had a great chat with both Peppe and larry last night. All seem in good form. Good to hear all are working on upper body strength. Hope you get a chance to learn a few skills also, eg plastering, building formwork, etc. Enjoy the curries.

Wow!
Wow! What an experience you guys are having. I hope your backs are not breaking under the weight of the work - sounds pretty extreme! I guess the bonus is that the people seem so happy to have you there and so grateful for your assistance. You'll have a heap of stories to tell on your return - everything sounds so totally different from all that you have been used to here. Keep up your great and generous work. P
