you met Peter! Hey, those are great shots of the Bund! I never had a good pic of the place , with the crowds and all.
Nice blog. Been following your blogs while traveling around China. The one on Xi'an made me laugh :)) Poor nikki. Good thing I have been warned about being "pushed around". Anyway, that's great you met up with Peter. So far, I have only met 2 from TravelBlog: Living the Dream Ben Beiske and Stuart Hurlbrut. Enjoy your travels!
Entertaining Read! Wow, this brought back huge memories of my run back in 1992 - it was wonderful to read how fast the bulls close in on you - and that adrenalin rush as the bulls are getting nearer is something to savour! This is an experience that will stay with you forever, thanks for sharing.
East Africa - need advice Hi Chris and thanks for the blog. I'm going to East Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and what I'm hearing from my friends here in Cairo is totally at odds with what Lonely Planet (usually so reliable) says.
My friends and I are all grad students and on a budget, but LP says I will need to budget minimum $150 a day (OMG) and on top of that the way they talk about shots and pills and diseases and parasites you'd think it was the riskiest place in the world to travel.
What's the real story?
Thanks, Lisa
PS - I have lived and traveled all over the world in all kinds of circumstances, and with the exception of bedbugs, can handle just about anything. Generally $20 a night for accommodations is a splurge..........
Welcome to our blog, we are Chris & Nikki and we are travel addicts!!!
Chris is a born & bred Londoner (and a 'real' Cockney).
Nikki is originally from Chester Le-Street in Durham but has been 'down south' since she started university.
We (try to) visit four places a year and if possible try to make it a different continent each time.
We love life experiences, photography and travel and if we're lucky we combine them all in one trip.
Travelblog is pretty much our diary of places visited & a diary of our relationship,
My present to say 'congratulations' for finishing universit... full info
