Stone Stacker strikes again How funny! We where in NZ last week and whilst driving from Cromwell to Oramama bound for Mt Cook Sth Is. we drove passed approx 10Kms of stacked stone piles like in your picture. There would have been hundreds of piles and none of them fell over even though there was a pretty strong cross wind coming through the flat.

What house ? I'm ashame to say that I have lived in San Deigo for some years now and never been to many of the locations you mentions in the article.
Thanks now I plan on giving those places a visit this weekend :)
Heat, Hollywood & Fish It's freezing -2C and we are about to have 10 - 30cm of snow dumped across most of the country so enjoy the heat over there! The good news from the UK is that Leicester City beat Northampton so it's not all bad over here! Enjoy!
"just a few blocks down" I can't believe you are turning into a local already - run away. Excellent updates, sounds like you are having a great time. Mum, dad and myself are going a few blocks down the road to have lunch with your mum today, I have printed your three blogs to take with us. I think that might even convince her to get a computer!
Have a fab time both of you.
Dave.
American Buses Hannah, I'm so impressed you've managed to write your blog already, sounds like you are having a great time. I forgot to warn you about the buses in America. My American friends tell me never to use the public buses...they are for people who can't afford cars. And if you don't have a car in America you must be a vagrant! I guess it's going to be pretty impossible for you to avoid the buses though while backpacking.
I hope your Virgin flight was ok, and don't forget to keep putting your suntan lotion on, we don't want you coming home like a leather handbag!
I've been on standby all day and haven't managed to leave Putney, I really hope to catch up with you at some point though xx
I'm going to sample and compare chocolate in New Zealand, Fiji, USA, Mexico and Canada just to prove that we really do have the best chocolate in the world. Am trying to get sponsorship from Cadbury and Galaxy but they're not really falling for it. Wonder why...... full info
