Hi! I was actually read your blog over the summer, as a way to get to know Wuhan a little better before arriving. I've been here for a little over two weeks now, and I like the city quite a bit so far. I hope you have a great year!
Biggest Prom Ever What is there like a Prom of a thousand? There are soo many people... That is sooo fun! I hope no girls had to cry in the bathroom during the production of this event. Oh and Michael your tutor very cute!
nice face Hi Cori,
How cool - I'm sure your mom told you that I ran into her (well, not literally) but I saw her. So she gave me the scoop on what you are doing.
Nice face, by the way! How much longer are you there?
Dan (Mr. H.)
Lunch So I typically read these while I eat. It is like the noon soap opera that way. Here I am sitting thinking of what I want to eat and here you are making great food. I once wanted Mexican now I am thinking Thai. We surprisingly have a great little modern Thai place here in Missouri. Sign me up for the Cori V. Cook Class! I feel a welcome home party with dancing a cooking!!!
Awesome. Yeah, you pretty much rock, like Sarah said. (And Blizzarding is totally a word).
Super good use of your time - I bet you've got a pretty wicked passport by now eh?
Greetings from Oz!!
love
God you are HOTT First of all it is blizarding here in Missou (yes blizarding is a word in the nuttdictionary) so you are hottt in your 80 degree weather! Second no seriously you are sexy that picture of you against the water where your figure is all black. I want a copy of that poster size and I wanna frame it and put it on a wall. What a great picture. Can't wait till the next post! Great teasers! Keep it up my beautiful friend!
Love, Love. So I was starting to think your Blog was affected by the writer's strike too. I am happy to see it isn't and only affected by your adventures... Can't wait to get the next subscription... Love the coat, Love the hair, Love your sister, Love you and if I may say you are looking very very good these days!
Miss you so much! You are having Too Much Fun!!! It already seems like months since I saw you. So sorry I didn't have a chance to meet Jessie. Can't wait to hear about your backpacking adventure.
Yeah Archery Shooting arrows is the best! I bet they didn't have any safety precatutions at that little range if I remember my Chinese Better Business rules correctly. That sign above the range says "You'll shoot your eye out!"
6 weeks? I would be going every three weeks. Just make up a new excuse and die your hair a different color or something. Come on for 2.50 I would do the craziest stuff and then 6 months before your done just shave it all off and let it grow. Come on your in China you could go bald. Well ok you don't have to go bald but jeeze go to that place more often than 6 weeks!!! PS. Does that head rubber guy need a girlfriend?
Not as smelly as you would think. Hi Laurie! The smell in there was actually fine. We did have some trouble with the spices...in our eyes. There was a big fan set up for air circulation and we kept getting a face full of seasonings! In the smell department, I have encountered aromas that have awakened my senses to a whole new world of rancid stink. There is a stinky tofu dish that makes me gag every time I catch a whiff of it. It is fermented and fried and to say that it smells like burning garbage mixed with rotten eggs would be putting it nicely. I can't even walk on the same street when it is being prepared, I have no idea how people eat it.
When in Rome... It is pretty easy to be disturbed by the animals, but I just try to not think about it. I eat meat all the time at home without batting an eye. Here, they use EVERY part of the animal, so I actually almost feel less guilty about it.
I love class nine... ... but I didn't get any cool party or a tea set!! What the heck!? I guess we know already who the better teacher is. Tell them I say hello!!
Fantastic! Hi there - Thanks so much for the updates. So fun to see where you are and what adventures you've found. It looks like a wonderful colorful place full of life, sound and, I'm guessing, wonderful smells around each corner. And, I'm sure there are aromas of other sorts too!
Any way this can be sent to those folks who are in Japan, heading towards China? I'm sure they'd love to get a look at what's up for them!
Hugs to you and Nick,
Anna
