Really, Chris? Really? You actually visited somewhere this close to the sea? After all the anti-seaboux training we've been through, you decided it would be in your best interest to go to the famous sea port of China and pay homage to the Goddess of the Sea? Not to mention all that beer you were drinking...way to lower your defenses around foreign seabouxs. I bet you probably had fish for dinner, too. You're getting lazy. Lazy and stupid.
tsingtao Sounds like the brewery was the main attraction here. Was the local stuff 20x better than the stuff that gets exported to the us and a? Were you able to sample any of the fresh, lushious, umm, fruits and vegetables the region had to offer?
The Hiboux Strikes Back In a house far, far away, the picture of a Chinese Hiboux has caused great consternation in the halls of the Galactic Empire. Emperor Darth Hiboux believed he had dispatched them all! Now he is making plans to use a death star to travel to China to deal with the rebellion once and for all...Watch for the sequel coming soon...The Revenge of the Hiboux!
Buddharific! Chris-Again wonderful reporting and pics! How large was the "Tea Disc?" I'm at Kathy's house in Charlotte recuperating from my shoulder surgery. It went well-am enjoying my temporary Vicodin haze! Keep trying to go see the pandas; that would be awesome and you could get pictures much better than those at the zoo. We'll be watching mighty Davidson tonite - They play Wisconsin - home of Bucky Badger. Unfortunately UNC hasn't attained a state of suckitude yet.
Love Mom and Aunt BUDDHA
The wonders of the World Wide Web Chris:
I'm writing this from my laptop on top of a mountain in Western North Carolina! This new-fangled internet is something else. I hope you are doing well. We humans are rolling with the punches here, while the cats just yawn, stretch, and roll over to sleep some more.
Love,
Padre
Truly Fabulous Pics Wonderful snaps on your posting this time. Your kids look cute! I'm glad you are having so many travel opportunities. Keep the pics coming!
On a truly sad note, they found the student body president at Chapel Hill, a senior pre-med from Georgia named Eve, murdered on a side street off campus. Kate comes home for spring break tomorrow and Scott was here a microsecond or two (hurricane moving through, you know) this past weekend for his break before heading to Chattanooga for the SoCon tournie. Mighty Duke and UNC, the rematch is going down this Saturday. Not much else to report here. Beast reminds you that he still controls the world in case you have forgotten. I've poked your lazy son many times but it doesn't seem to help! Much love and stay safe, Mom
Dude, those guardian lions are intense. I think we should definitely invest in some when you get back. Also, the lanterns are motherf'n tizight. I like the dragon especially, but I'm biased...seriously though, dragons could tear all those other animals apart, especially a lousy Boar.
Anyway, I'm studying like crazy for midterms. I'm having my first "in the library past 1 a.m. experience." I thought you'd be proud to know I've officially degraded into a college student. You suck, etc, etc. Be nice to Buddhist pilgrims you see and give them alms. Also, if UNC beats Duke in the upcoming game, I will rain hellfire on this blog like no other. Best watch out. I hope everything is going well.
Great Pics! I for one enjoyed looking at your interesting pics! Send some of the actual school so we can see where you work. I know you're busy. Hope you feel better. Love, Mom
Blue Devil Demise I have allowed mighty Duke to be smitten by the even mightier Deacs, 84-72 or some such score! Perhaps you won't leave me at home next time you go to China! I have "And-rice" factories there to check on, not to mention a cute little Himalayan lady! Hope you got your luggage. Love, Beast
Have you checked to make sure that your route is completely seaboux free? It looks like you're passing over some rather large water spaces and it could be dangerous. I mean, it's your trip and all, but I'm just saying...it's fun and games now, but you're just one step away from "Seabouxs on a Plane!"
I am 24 and originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I graduated college in 2006, and since then I have been working for a law firm in Winston-Salem doing litigation support. In the fall of 2008 I will be beginning law school. I am not entirely sure where yet, but at this point, it looks like I will be in St. Louis. I have signed up to teach English in China at Changzhou International School in Changzhou City (about an hour from Shanghai) over the course of 5 months beginning in Februaruy of 2008. This will be my first trip to China or anywhere in the far east, and I have decided to star... full info
