Naked & Engaged Such a romantic, Michael! Well done! Welcome to the family! Can't wait for more updated from you both on all your adventures. Stay Safe!
Congrats! Hi Michael,
I know I haven't talked to you in years, but I've been following your blog (the one from your Africa trip and now this one) because your adventures are exciting and I like the way you write :) Anyway, I just wanted to say congratulations on your engagement! I'm looking forward to seeing what other excitement awaits you in Asia.
Take care!

Congrats! Congrats to you guys! Awesome news.
I'm kind of impressed that you picked up the ring in Korea Mike. That was a ballsy choice! Glad it worked out though.
Anywho, have a good time in China. If it's anything like Hong Kong, that luke warm tea on the table is actually for washing your chopsticks... as if luke warm tea somehow makes things clean... clearly I never got over that. :)
Oh, and Colin and I have chosen Boston and Phoenix this year for playoff beards again. And I should think the Flames will actually end in 10th, so I'll drink a beer for our prediction.

Congrats guys! Hi Mike and Amiee,
I am so happy for you guys! What a romantic way to propose! Married life is great. As I look at my husband doing the dishes while making donkey noises, you know how great life really is. Hopefully we get to see you both soon. I'd like to check out the ring in person!

Congratulations Let me be the first to offer congratulations on your engagement. I am very happy for the two of you. I can just imagine you on bended knee with an audience of local people watching...I would have loved a photo of that scene :) Welcome to our side of the family Aime!!!
I know how hard it is to travel in China from my attempt years ago. I think it is better in Beijing now that the Olympics are over as there was a big push to teach English for that event but it will get worse as you move to smaller centers...by now you have probably been sucked into responding to the first dozen or so people who say "Hello" but know nothing else. When I was in Shenzhen I went to a park with an "English Corner" on a Sunday. There I was fair game for anyone who wanted to practice their English. We would play pass-the-phrase-book where I would learn the Mandarin and they would learn the corresponding English words...you can make nice temporary friends that way. From your travels, Michael I know you have tricks of your own...just pretend you are in the Amazing Race :)
Again congratulations....this is one amazing trip for you both...very happy
Love Dad

Welcome to my country.
I 've never experienced sleeping at a Buddhist temple, but I bet it was a very unique experience for you guys. I will try it someday because I know there are many events in temples will give people positive energy their entire life.

Keep the updates coming...its a nice distraction from work, LOL.
Btw, Stampede was awesome!!! Didnt get to try the deep fried Oreo (or Twinkie) but I heard they were delicious.

Hey Everyone,
Well the time has come for another grande adventure to a far off land. Where is the red hair going to be flaunted this time? Asia. Yet another continent I've wanted to explore for oh so long, and now Aimee and I have that chance.
We will be starting this escapade of ours in Seoul, South Korea, moving onto mainland China and Tibet, to Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Malaysia before arriving in Singapore 3 months later.
They'll be lots of stories to tell, and I hope to be able to update this travel blog regularly to let you know what we're up to. There may be times though wher... full info
