Thanks Thankyou to you both for the wonderful entertaining Blogs sent my way. I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading, learning and laughing at your blogs.
I am guessing it was a fantastic holiday but it is even better now to return home.
If you are venturing this way before Xmas please let me know, although I know a sultry 32 degrees in humid Brisbane does not really tip the ideal destination of Cass.
If the bread is baked without salt then I would insist on some salted buttter, but the best unsalted butter in the world is usually from europe so I am guessing this is a no go also. My best submission for your trip is definately the blog from Lyon. So much learned information was gained on my part.
Ok I am a country girl by nature and I am up with the chooks and pretty much go to bed with them too so what peeved you about the Italian dinners at 7:30pm? Are they eating too late?
I hope Sara & Daniel are enjoying all the goodies that I know you would have brought back for them.
Enjoy settling back into suburbia and I'm sure we will chat again soon.
. Bonjour or How Ya Goin??? Another wonderful knowledgable Blog from the travellers. Brendon you are an absolute marvel with pics. For someone in their 50's who has never ventured outside of Australia, I dont think I truely appreciate the history that surronds you in these countries as it is such a foreign concept to me to be surrounded by building an intricate architecture that is thousands of years old. I even took to my friend, Google, to find out a little more about these Ramparts and battlements that they have built upon. Truely amazing. What foresight to throw out butchers and put jewellers in their place. I really do like that idea!!! Well I guess you are nearing the end of this wonderful trip but thankyou both so much for providing me with so much education and history in such an entertaining way. I have truely felt part of your journeyand what a journey it has been.
Bring on the bellini's!! Wow what an amazing place. NO TRAFFIC ( as such) Country people often say "just around the Corner" and mean the same as the venetians. I cannot believe that you both walked all that way to your hotel. Is there not any little porters around that will carry stuff for you?
NO NO NO what a crime to drop delicious caramel on a walking trail. I say just play spot the next carmel tasting shop on the way back or just following the sweat smell of caramel but never waste a good sweet.
well looking forward to your blog from Florence and seeing pictures of your beautiful purchases from the glass factory. Brendan this magical glass doesn't weight much at all.
History lessons abound Thank you boh for the wonderful historical info that you are imparting upon me. This is so much more interesting than the history i learnt at school many many years ago. And as a visual learner the pics are brilliant. I had never even heard of this place until now. I hope you are all enjoying your wonderful holiday. Can't wait to catch up when you get back here.
Great Update - Paris in the Autumn Hi Cass and Brendon! I cannot believe how much you have managed to do within 5 days in Paris! The photos are fantastic and I loved reading your blog - I almost felt like I was there seeing the sights! I can't wait to see and read more of your European adventures! Take care and keep having fun! Cathy. XO
Hi Cass & Brendon, I am exhausted just reading your bog. My god, your certainly do pack a lot into a day. I love the modern. Sorry probably because we have very little in this country that is more than 150 years old and I am a big fan of sleek lines. What on earth is the grass for if they cannot sit on it? Funny people. I like the Pics. Brendon has got this shutter bug business down pat. This is the first time I have "blogged" but please keep the updates coming as I am enjoying the experience.
