Shame about Bali Such a pity you didn’t get to see the island, the interior is beautiful and unspoilt. We had a driver take us round, at one point he stopped the car in the middle of fields and told us to get out, was this a robbery, were we going to be murdered?! No, he just wanted us to smell the wonderful aromas rising up, phew!
How’s life on deck 11? Why Ian has to go out and maim himself instead of running up and down the stairs is beyond e!
Bit of News, we’ve just put our names down for the inaugural world cruise on the Queen Anne 2025, should have confirmation on Wednesday after 1pm—— fancy it? I’m getting in touch with Nanci to see if she would be interested. Keep on having fun xxx
World cruise 2025 Thanks for the info, at the moment not really looking at cruises but might come round. If we do it wouldn’t be a full cruise just a stage or two. We need to get home from this one and recover.
Hope you are all well and enjoying your travels
Great Barrier Reef So glad you got into the sea (although the beginning sounded a bit horrendous) - I really enjoyed snorkelling on the reef. Am increasingly concerned about Ian’s athletic antics in crazy temperatures though ……. keep him in check B!!
Ships pass in the night! We seem to be travelling in the opposite direction to you! Left Thailand for Laos and then Phnom Penh in Cambodia. On our way back to Thailand now for a welcome 2 week beach break in hua hin, the old stomping ground of the Royal family, bit like Sandringham for our lot. Keep having fun xx
Shame we can’t meet up somewhere exotic. We only have the one day in Vietnam before returning to Singapore for the grand gala (in the Gardens by the Bay) and then travelling onwards to Bali and Australia. Of course whilst in Bali rather than going to interesting historical sites Bridget is insisting we spend time on some tropical beach.
Loving the blogs Hi Bridget & Ian,
Sounds like you’re having an amazing time, would love to see your photos so I will friend request you on Facebook.

Photos The photos won’t load but I’m putting some on fb. The entertainment has been very good, and last night was a juggling comic and he was brilliant one of the best acts we’ve ever seen. Neil Kelly is the entertainment director and he recognised us and gave me a big hug. We miss you and Catherine, Ian is using the pencil you gave him for the quizzes x
Name of neighbours Mike and Carolyn Lawrence. They live on the Ridge and their dog is called Harley. Hope the trip has started well. We are off on a weeks cruise around the Canaries in Feb so hoping for a bit of sunshine!!!
