A good night's sleep sees us up staggeringly early. We bail out of the hotel and into a hazy blue-skied morning. We take the Subway and head downtown. Once again the subway lures me into feeling that im in a normal city, until we are deposited right on the harbour, overlooking the hudson, facing a venerable and famous old lady. For someone who's lived most of his life in quiet suburbia i want to feel the throb and pulse of the original metropolis, I want to feel the scale and power of engineering and architecture, oh and I want to eat big fuckin burgers! As i hinted at above, I've pretty much always wanted to got to New York so Im fairly excited. Despite getting ... read more
