actually, koto was played by men rather than women in the past, but though i don't know why, today more japanese women than men are playing koto. instead, men play shakuhachi which looks like a guitar.
did you know toilets flush in E flat? you have got to be kidding me... does that toilet say flushing sound? so you can, like, pretend to be flushing? or am i just being really blonde (no offence) and missing a point?

keep the comedy up.We start varsity tomorrow so no more lounging around and time to do some work.The holidays are horrible though and we wanted to go shark fishing in april but found out we have no holidays.Please go and eat some shark fin soup for us and tell us what its like.cool

WOW sounds like your japanese life is coming along just fine except for the japanese! glad to hear that things are moving along. i can't balieve you have to register your bike! and registration sounded like a dream! i've decided to go to tech, i didn't really have any other options so, i'll just have to see how it goes hey! otherwise the A1 grand prix here was amazing, loud and thrilling! we had to have earplugs it was so loud!! ooh i can't wait for next year!

I'm a South African Student on Exchange in Japan... I packed a ski jacket, surfboard and a pair of Chopsticks... I didn't bring previous knowledge of the language. We'll see where that leads me.
Since Japan I've been an ordinary SA student just plodding along making ceramics and getting a chance to see a bit of the world when I can.
