Simple, yes, Rosy....but very, VERY, expensive. It was a labor intensive job. We are now cash poor, but happy to have moved on!
Will update again later today....I need pictures of the place that we found on South Padre Island! After spending a week in a small (not so clean) hotel room for a week in the city...we deserve this place.
"The Island" We'll let you know they "do things" on the Island once we get there. Our van will be done this afternoon, one more night at this horrible place, then south to the Island. Always nice to hear from you two!
We're fine.... Thanks to everyone for your comments. Right now, it's 7pm and it's freakin' pouring out. Only gonna get worse, I think. We're fine...just wish the dogs knew how to use a toilet.
Sorry about the car HI - Glad it happened while you were already delayed by the weather. Nice place to be stuck with the beach there.
Thinking of you!
Love ya,
suzy
Well....okay, as you said, better here than in Mexico! Wow, a VCR!! Blast from the past! Be safe in the rains of Hermine! We got SO NADA from Earl....love the foggy picture! The Cape just didn't seem the same knowing you weren't there! We considered a second home there...whoa still so expensive!
Slowly, Slowly.... I think we're making good time, everyone....better yet, the dogs have been great!! Just made it to Mobile, Alabama. Off to get something to eat and walk the dogs. Stay tuned...I'm sure it'll get more interesting when we cross the border!
Coffee ready at 5 am..perfect for you!!! I love the picture of Lobo and Zanky! Stopping often is good...makes the trip more enjoyable and hey, no need to rush! Better for your circulation, too (said the NP..;=) Safe travels!
Is this the final move Trish is this the final move you are gone for good... with all your belonging????? If it is good luck...Wow i remember talking a few yrs ago at the garden place on upper county and you telling me about it all...OH wow so exciting...I will follow your log...will you have internet out where your home is....Good luck on the road... Wow! And friends think that we're crazy for full-timing! What an adventure you two have started out on. Only wish we had gotten to see you before you left. We'll so enjoy your blog. Travel safe!
The Mail in Mexico... Basically, you can't depend on it. I've been handed envelopes by people who live there, to be brought back to the States to be mailed. The only delivery service that I've found to work is DHL. If absolutely necessary, we can use our builders address in Chetumal. But no, we won't have any mail coming to us.
After planning this trip for over 5 years, we are finally venturing off next week. We will be driving over 3000 miles from New England to the southern part of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. We bought our piece of land 6 years ago and built a house last year. Can't wait to make it our home! ... full info
