Ben Amy´s post pretty much covers the Salt Flats, I don´t think I can add much more apart from the photo´s. The entire thing was pretty amazing - and being in a 4x4 apart from the occasional stroll was great, as Amy said I struggle a bit with the altitude. We topped 5000m which I guess is about as high as people live anywhere (maybe with some exceptions around the Himalayas). She has the advantage of being a South African raised at altitude, and of being made of rubber (South Africans, like elephants, are made of rubber - push one down some stairs and see Amy- no dont, we are delicate flowers ). Anyway, I'm now trying um, sucking (chewing isn´t the right word) coca leaves, apparantly that helps by widening the bronchioles. .
