Beach hut? Whatever... Now then!
You can keep your beach hut and sunburn - i ain't interested! Petronas Towers? - why do you need them when there's 'Stramongate Towers' back home! Hope you're not missing your grotty flask and pop bottle too much!! Glad you took becky along for the ride mike - someone's gotta write the blogs! (She can spell and everything!)
Seriously, looks like a blast.. bon voyage!
Wow - now I'm really jealous!! Sounds amazing. I can't believe you met up with Cat. That must have made it extra nice. What are you doing leaving after 2 nights?! I guess there's so many paradise beaches to explore :) Did you really freak out when you saw the sharks when snorkelling? Love reading your blog - can't wait to see some photos. Thanks for keeping us in touch. Cats xx
Another great blog. But does your island match the Manchester Metro at rush hour? One thing we had in common was the terrential rainfall although on second thoughts there is no contest. No chance of getting sun burnt though.
There has been political toubles in Thailand with airports closed so go carefully. Should be restricted to Bangkok but the paper did say tourists at the beach resorts couldn't fly out.

Singapore sounds fantastic! Hi Beck, love reading your blog! The zoo sounded amazing - really glad you're having such a good time. It's really nice seeing the photos. I'm going to Granny's on Saturday so probably won't be able to catch up with you for a week but look forward to hearing all about Malaysia :)
Lots of love, Cats and Ali x
Great being able to keep up with you Hi Becky and Mike
Singapore sounded fantastic. Well done with the reaseach which seems to have paid off. Off to find Malaka on the map!
Want to see more photos of the new hair style.
Feel like I missed out on the zoo now, sounds like you had a very fun time indeed. And what's this Luge-ing! Totally missed That on Sentosa! Safe travels to malaysia! Ice-kachang........love.it.
Ah, thanks for reading my blog! Yes, I had my hair chopped pre-departure for help with coping in the heat. Am glad I did, having hair sticking to my shoulders would be nasty!
What's Turkish ice-cream all about then? Sounds like you had a perfect first day! I like the sparkly lights too ooooaaahhh :0) Good to see you're keeping up with the blog so far! Short and sweet, that's obviously the best way and where I went horribly wrong. Looking forward to the next update!
Sounds really exiting! Great to hear from you! Can't believe you're blogging already - you must be exhausted! I'm really exited for you - it's such a big adventure :) Hope you acclimatise soon. Love Cats xxx

Hello, we are Becky and Mike. In August 08 we are set off from Kendal in the lovely English Lake District to see a bit more of the world. First we went to South East Asia for 4 months (Singapore - Malaysia - Thailand - Laos - Cambodia - Vietnam).
The we went to Australia to work and travel for the year. We began in Brisbane, where we purchased a car which we used to drive down to Melbourne, across to Adelaide, up to Darwin, down to Perth and back accross to Brisbane!
