Gazelle on hills of Granada I wasn't lucky enough to see any gazelles, but do the gypsies' dogs count? Saw plently of those on the hills outside Granada!
Clashing of cultures! Loved your blog... amazing the way cultures and religious faiths have clashed over the centuries. Reminded me historically a little like Istanbul, yet in reverse order!
Where's the dog-on-duty photo?! Hi Mrs Meadows, great photos and once again an entertaining and informative blog. You really seem to have a knack for going on interesting bus rides! :)
Well worth the wait! Another great blog Mum, and good on you for keeping it up! Morocco definitely was an amazing place, and it was a real adventure exploring it with you! =)
We were in Morocco for two weeks. Marrakesh was our first stop and we left Tangiers by ferry for Spain after having an amazing holiday in Morocco! Well worth a visit.
Tears of Empathy! Boy can I relate to your story! Those moments where you feel trapped in an event you can't circumvent and yet time marches on! and trying not to loose it - such quintessential travel moments! And yet what a great experience - the place and the personalities are so fascinating - I think I could almost smell it. Thanks for such a vivid story of your experience.
Great work! I know it's a tad delayed, but I just finished writing my latest entry and saw your name up on the home page and realised I hadn't read this entry! It is awesome! I love the way you write! It's great inspiration for my entries!
Loved the Pictures I loved your pictures from Budapest. I too enjoyed the city and had a great time while I was there. Believe or not, I still stay in contact with my tour guide that I had and he has invited me back to visit anytime. I am hoping to back this Fall.
Wow! Mrs Meadows, your such an amazing person - having the courage to get out there and see the world! Keep these coming, I just love hearing your adventures! Love Pippa
So Proud of You Gee Barbara I am so *Proud of You* listening to your stories, and courage going into these places.... and I am glad you shed a tear or two -- for normality sake!! We need that coffee so I can tell you about my J/Burg and Mauritius travels. I will call you and arrange before the School Holidays finish.
Love Jenny
Nice photo's I came across your website while updating my own blog about our trip to Ouarzazate. It brings back some lovely memories, and your photo's are quite different from the ones that we took. You can find my blog, if you are interested, by searching for "Charles Arnestad". THANKS.
Did you meet Russell? Great to read your latest offering! The film sets must have been fascinating - the dry climate means that they probably can be used for even more films in the future. Looking forward to Fez!
Afriquia Hotel Hi Fernando! I'm sure you will have a fantastic time in Marrakesh. We paid 100 Dirham a night for a double room at the Afriquia. Our best deal was 70 Dirham a night for a double room in Ouarzazate! It is well worth while taking a bus across the Atlas Mountains to this town which is the home of the Atlas Film Studios. All the best for your travels!
Backpacker Barbara! you have more than passed the test for a backpacker now! looking forward to hearing about your next adventure. travelling across afghanistan, teaching children in burma, hiking in nepal...
Nice reflections... was cool to see the photos and think back to that awesome family holiday we had. hope the next one isnt too far off! also must check out those vids we made soon! :P
snakes Wow, you 've made the Marrakesh scene come alive with excitement.
I'm sure LP would be interested in your photos and comments. Looking forward to reading your blog on Atlas Mountains.
My two sons are regular bloggers as they have been travelling all over Europe and South East Asia. I am doing a bit of travelling this year myself so thought I would get in on the act as well! It's a great way to keep a record of people, places, photos and life experiences.... full info
