I loved your description of the sugar cane experience. It tastes so good but yet so difficult to enjoy while talking. Maybe that is its purpose, for westerners to enjoy it we have to shut up. I wonder if this is a metaphor that could be applied to what happens when we explore other areas of the world. I might be reading into it too much... When I read your cave exploring adventure I began to violate the 10th Commandment. I think it is a good jealously, wondering how the smells and strains of such an endeavor can bring you into a whole new world. I'm pretty sure the bat guano would have its own presence. As I attempt to visualize all the cave formations I can't help myself from asking, did you have Max Reams narrations in your head? The sawgrass sounds angering! I enjoy hearing about your grand adventures! -Jared

Thanks for making the delivery!
Brian, thanks for getting the hard drive and pringles to Pamela. She was so happy to get both and I was happy to know you arrived safe and was able to find her there on the mission. Lauralee

I'm really enjoying your updates. I can hear your voice when I read them. I'm a little sad that I won't be able to keep up with them while I'm in Denver & my team is practicing the art of "unplugging." Praying for you.

Meat Pie.
Thankful you are eating healthy meat pies & ice cream. I was worried about your nutrition. I also don't know if I can keep reading if you're going to keep posting details about the ER & cuts & such. BUT. I am praying for you often. Proud of you. Thankful you are there & doing what God wants you to do & using the gifts He's given you.

PNG
Brian, I am praying that you have great experiences and that you will remain healthy and safe. We know a missionary pilot in PNG. I'm sure it is a huge place and that the chances of your encountering him or his family is probably remote. But Matt Harris is from Kankakee and his wife, Alyssa, is from NY, I believe. They have 2 young boys. Matt is a mechanic for Mission Aviation Fellowship. I believe they are in or near Sentani. I should have done some research before writing this. Praying for you, Jane
