Brrrrr! Sorry it's so cold for you. Apparently you have been in a the middle of a big storm. Wasn't it very windy too? It will be warmer in LA, and hopefully you will dry out a bit too. You will just have missed the Oscars in LA. What a pity. You could have gone! Are you going to LA on the valley road or that scary road that has been in millions of films along the coast?
Well I'd always thought i'd seen rabbit proof fence but i must be thinking of something else. possibly i am thinking of empire of the sun, which might have a similar dvd cover. how come everyone already knew about this! i thought i was being informative, damn
owah. That's like some poor attempt at copying banksy, though its still ebtter than the graffiti that we have in crediton
Look at all the ben and Jerry's! I like the look of the Fossil Fuel. =/
all the olives, i bet they made mum excited
and the one below
i bet that made the bunnies excited
I'm green with jealousy miss
yes I've seen that, also we did a documentary on aboriginal children and how awfull their society is in humanities a couple of years ago, and I told you aswell. Clearly i have made such a huge impact on your life you cannot even spare the courtesy to listen to what i did in shcool
breathek, trynottobreathe I think i've seen this film, does it sort of follow the journey of 3 girls? i think it's 3, although one of them doesn't make it
There was a film about the Aborigines being taken, set in the 30s, called Rabbit Proof Fence, where Kenneth Branagh was explaining how after 3 generations of being bred with white people their offspring would become 'suitably coloured' and apparently all that stupidity which was in their genes would have watered down. Having said that, they neglected to mention any bum storming that might have occured, which taints the film slightly.
going back in time Well, how did it feel to arrive in a new place before you left the other? It means you have been given an extra day's holiday. You obviously haven't got used to being in US yet, as most of your blog was still about Australia! There has been lots of stuff about Aborigines lately, and I'm sure it was big news in Australia. It even got on the news in UK. The sad fact is that the poor Aborigines had been living in Aussie for thousands of years quite happily until westerners came and they had all their land taken off them, and they were put into camps where they got depressed and hopeless and it seems they take to drinking in a big way, and get more and more hopeless. Taking children away from their families was seen at the time as a way of making up for the past mistakes, but of course it was just much worse. Anyway, I'm glad you're safely in US and have someone nice to stay with - does that mean you're staying with her for three nights? I'm sure you'll soon settle - try to get into the new time by going to bed at 12ish their time, and not when you think you feel you should be. That way your body will adjust quicker. By the way, I loved the photos of you both with the koalas. It made me very jealous, though. Are they as cuddly as they look, or do they bite and poo on you? Take care. Love Mum/Veronica xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My, my, how time flies! Well, how time must fly at Bangkok airport, when you have nothing to do but look at film blurb. V. funny. I'd particularly like to see the Mirror, - all these films sound slightly sinister and sleazy. You're very lucky to be living in such luxury in Brisbane. The boat trip tomorrow sounds great, and I am really envious. Only in Australia one day, and you've already had a barbie!
Love
mum
Hope you had a fab time Well, golly gosh, I'm very envious of everything you have done. You seem to have made very good use of your time, and met lots of interesting locals. If you are going on your honeymoon, Sarah, is there something I should know?
You both write in a very engaging style that makes me want to hear MORE about what you get up to, and it is great to know how you are getting on.
I am sure you find Australia very different, if only because the locals won't be staring at you any more ...... or will they?
Love Veronica (MUM)
pandas my god. I've read about 3 books in my life, because books aren't as good as this. probably because they're not about people you know or care about, but you are both quite natural travel bloggers i think. it's nice seeing sarah rant about someone's hairy legs and various scenarios and then hear rosie's description of the event and usually you can assume reality lies somewhere between the 2 of them..
some of my favourite anecdotes-
"my shoulders especially smell really comforting."
"his legs are way over my line of territory."
"Hope you are all having fun in the rain! "
sarah i think petrol is usually pretty much see through, maybe if it was 10% weed in.
How are you talking to people getting bus tickets and stuff? Most challenging moment so far?
God you're both good, I'm so glad you're not touristing it. I knew you wouldn't.. xx
i know what you mean about elephant riding and stuff, but as long as you don't have a tourist mentality, and you actually respect and try to understand the place, you shouldn't feel anything bad about doing the activities or whatever that the locallers associate to tourism.. though i reckon the best experiences are ones that are free and not part of any tour or ..organised thing. maybe. THANKYOU FOR STORIES KEEP THEM HAPPENING x
afterwards It's very good to hear all these exciting things but know at the same time that you must have got thro' (literally) whatever, eg a crack in a cave to be writing about it. Still very wet here. This ia a trial to see if I do it right.
it works html coding is hard and seems to be very cryptic but u can just get it all from online and then its easy
i wander what you are doing right now
i hope you are having a splendid time
i am in art and have just given this link to mrs morton i hope thats ok
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
