If You Give a Girl a Cupcake...

My trip is in it's financial woes stage at the moment. This is the first time I've tried something like this, and I desperately don't want to fail. I feel like a small boat in a big ocean and I don't know if the end of this month will bring smooth sailing or a monstrous, tortuous storm. Will I float or sink? Not knowing is the worst part.

When I first thought of the title "If You Give a Girl a Cupcake..." I thought I was referencing the book "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie," which, by all measures, has always been an influential and unwaveringly amusing favorite of mine! But then I thought about it. If you give a girl a cupcake...she'll ask for another one. She'll ask for another one. And another one. And another one (because cupcakes have a magical effect of always leaving room for one more). But what happens when there are no more cupcakes to give!? No. "If You Give a Girl a Cupcake..." is in reference to the saying "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for life." If you give a girl a cupcake, she'll have that fluffy-mound-of-sugar-topped treat in her hand for a moment. If you teach a girl to bake cupcakes...she'll have them for life (and to share, too!).
