Friday 5th June 2009 4.45am came around all too quick and we dragged ourselves downstairs. I was nearly falling asleep on the tuk tuk even though it’s like riding over cobblestones on wooden wheels the whole way out to the temples. There were a surprising number of people there actually, about 150 I reckon, apparently in peak season there can be well over 500. The sunrise itself wasn’t the most amazing thing I have ever seen but it wasn’t bad, just not as awe inspiring as it looks in the paintings all over the stalls. After that we were odd on our grand tour of the temples which encompassed some of the smaller temples around the area.
