Blogger Owen: Tassie... The boatride over. Something about catching the Spirit of Tasmania seems to get me on edge - not the actual boat ride; rather the paranoia of arriving late and not getting on board at all. The day of our sailing was madly spent packing, cleaning and organising. We'd be arriving back to Melbourne the same day we were to leave for China, so the house had to be in good order. Naturally, by the time we left the car was packed, the fridge emptied and dishes done... but the house still looked like it'd been nuked. Convinced that the Spirit's gates closed at 6.30, we departed in a flurry and took off down the freeway to Bindaree Outdoors hoping to find my missing mapcase containing my diary, new compass, and my favorite readings
