Lovely Uruguay Thanks for sharing your time in Uruguay and BA. It brought us back a lot of great memories. And yes, the chilean coffee is horrible ;-) - and the boarder crossing from Villa O'Higgins to El Chalten one of the most beautiful in the world. We wish you an easy start back home.
Thanks for letting us follow you on this amazing trip... you've really done everything. I hope to see more than just Peru and Bolivia in the next year or two.
Well, Friends (since I read your last long blog ;-), What a journey! I hope to follow your steps someday... on my bike! How are you 2 feeling after being on the road for so long? Tired at all? Good luck with getting back to normal life (if that is the plan). Cheers!
Elasticised trousers Great adventure...great pics...great tips. Then there is mixing with locals like these guys...evokes all kinds of speculation as to how you got this one!
Glad you enjoyed the blog. We had walked up hill for some time when we met those guys. They must have thought we looked about ready to expire as they followed us for some time!!
I read it all! We are now good friends! :-) Brazil is fantastic! I'm amazed by how you managed to condense it all in one blog! I'm still writing about my cycling adventure with my Dad in Bahia (June 2014). Life is good! Where are you off to next?
Ha ha well done! It takes us long enough to publish one blog post, so we'd never finish if we broke it down any further. Just spent a couple of weeks in Uruguay and then fly back to the UK for a few weeks before our Asian adventure.
Excellent adventure! This is just how I hope to travel to the Galapagos, though I'm taking your advise and not booking a return flight! What a great idea to volunteer at an organic farm! It's so important to support these healthy enterprises. Sounds as if you visited some fine places in Ecuador. I look forward to your Colombian adventures!
Living THE life! Thank for sharing! Good post and pics! I hope to make it to the Galapagos some day soon... I'm glad to hear it's possible to go on your own there.
Hi Jeremy Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the blog and pics. The Galapagos are so worth a visit and yes very easy as an independent traveller. Hope you get to visit there soon.

Hello! Hello Mrs Fisher! Glad you are enjoying reading about our travels and apologies to James for the long list of places you guys are going to have to visit now! Hee hee. You would love it though. We really liked Chile as it's slightly off the gringo trail and the people were really friendly to us, plus it is geography heaven!
Really good to hear from you and hope you guys (family, dogs and cats included!) are all well. Lots of love from Sucre in Bolivia (where we are currently not allowed to have a beer or any other alcoholic drink due to it being "good" Friday!) xx
Sounds Amazing! Your blogs really do brighten up a morning! Sounds like you are having an amazing time. My journey to South America (when we finally do it) is getting bigger all the time! Think James is getting worried. Chile sounds brilliant. The photos are certainly sending my Geography geekness into overdrive so what your like Liz I have no idea! I hope this message reaches you. I have tried sending a couple of messages but not convinced they are getting to you. Hopefully this one will. Continue having a wonderful time and I look forward to the next instalment xx
The Carretera Austral Great blog. We made this trip a few years back with our one-year old son. The hardships and delays are all part of the adventure. A really beautiful part of the world. Hope to make it back there one day!

The Pampas, Rosario and Sierras de Cordoba Yep, definitely got the hang of it now. Your managing to find your way round South America and I have taken this long to start traversing your blog.

Hi Geoff,
Good to hear you are enjoying our travelling stories. To be honest I think travelling around South America is easier than using this site... It took us a while to get the hang of it too! Hopefully Devon is drying out a bit now and you can look forward to some nice spring weather for tennis. All the best.
Hi
I've only just realized that there is a section on your blog which gives us the opportunity to comment. I've been logging in and reading your blog randomly to-date but have now gone back to read from the start. Buenos Aires looks and sounds fantastic beats the flooded West Country hands down. Love your humour, keep it up.
Geoff
Hi. Only just worked out how to respond to comments on this site. Thanks for your comments, very glad you are enjoying the blog and especially the pictures.

Legless Grrr8 to see you are all having a good time! We have enjoyed looking at the pictures. Take care on your travels. I am back to work on Monday, after a long break. We managed to get to the Cook Islands before Christmas, so we have had a good measure of sunshine. But it hasn't been good weather here in NZ considering it is supposed to be summer. All the best & love from us all in NZ
Thanks! We're having a great time heading South in Chile and my parents are now back at home (sounds like the weather is pretty grim there too!). Hope the weather improves in NZ and we might pop in to say hello when we eventually get round to that side of the world. Liz xx
Hello. We are Ross and Liz and on the 20th November 2013 (a wet and grey British winter's day) we finally set off on our long planned trip around the globe. We started our adventure in Buenos Aires, Argentina and have since made our way around South America, South East Asia, Sri Lanka and overland from the UK to Hong Kong, where we hopped over to Japan and then down to New Zealand. After five fantastic months camper vanning around NZ we are heading over to Australia for three months before finally heading home (via Thailand and Frankfurt).
We travel at a nice slow pace, visiting all the s... full info
