Amazing Thank you, just surfing after reading a cookbook focused on Bologna -- in cooking school and raising my family in NY, . Yum, can't wait till I can organize a trip. Thanks for the photos and comments. What a lovey life the two of you are enjoying. Emily
Japan (better late then never) Sorry for not commenting sooner but happy to see you enjoyed the fish market and Ginza at night. As Debra said in her e-mail, sorry for not warning you about the toilets (aka holes in the ground) in China.
Enjoy Italy!
Love the pics! Melanie and Anthony - I've loved reading your blogs. I'm glad you're settled in. Your apt looks adorable - and what a fabulous location. Good for you -- following your dreams. What a wonderful experience for you both. I hope Melanie finds a job soon and you keep enjoying yourselves. I wish we could fly over and visit you, but not this year. Keep blogging!!
Love, Cheryl
hello from Pearl Hey you guys, love the pics! Were you in Bologna during Easter? Clint and I were there then and we found it to be eerily quiet. What lovely city though. We went to this a very good restaurant called Trattoria Meloncello. If you get a chance, you should check it out! Cheers and best of luck to you both!

I am so blown away by this part of your trip. You are making getting up for work harder and harder. So happy that you are having a great and exciting time.

China Victoria thought China looked like a very fun place to visit based on your photos. I'm thinking after she reads about the food and toilets, she may change her mind!! We really enjoy reading about your travels.
Love it! I'm so happy to read your blog. It reminded me of the experiences we had in Japan too, which were very similar. We didn't get to go to the fish market, but what an experience it must have been! Can't wait to read more updates :) Have fun!!
Great start Looks like you guys are having a blast-and eating some great food. We were so excited to get your first alert. Looking forward to more.
Love, MOM
nice Did you guys get a $50,000 bluefin for an early morning snack? Awesome pictures. It sounds like you guys are starting your world tour on the right foot. Beijing next? You'll appreciate that a 2/3 litre bottle of beer cost less than a 1/2 litre bottle of water...at least it did in 2004. Get ready for the most amazing dumplings and green tea (and the worst toilets) in the world.
Keep the blogs a-comin!
Looks delicious Hey guys, looks great. Can you do me a solid and send me over one of those big eye tunas? We can slice them up and sell them at Zuma or Nobu Berkeley for 10 quid a piece. Nice lil business we can run
We are heading to Italia to live the dolce vita for a little while!
We depart from New York on January 25, 2010 and will be traveling through Asia for close to 6 weeks to see some awesome places and eat some awesome food before settling in Bologna, Italy.
This blog is for us to share our travel stories and some pictures with all of you, hopefully we can update every couple of weeks or so.
Enjoy and please stay in touch with us!... full info
