I arrived in Delhi on Thursday evening at 11:30. When I stepped out of the baggage claim and into the pickup area, there was an immediate WALL of people holding placards with names. I want to give a description of what it's like to arrive in India without any prior expectations. Even though I tried to prepare myself, this is a difficult thing to do when you are not sure what to expect. After landing in Delhi, and getting out of the plane, there is the smell of burning that has become familiar to me now. It comes and goes. As you walk outside after facing a wall of people with placards, you cannot really prepare yourself for what you will see. Think of an international airport in the middle of a slum. I remind myself
