Great photos Especially the one of the military bats. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your shots; the wonderfully coloured clothing and magnificent countryside, not to mention the wildlife.
Geography from the other side of the world! Ang will be glad to know she is still spreading the Geography word... your latest blog has made my job teaching Tourism in Brazil to Year 8 very easy. Enjoy the last bit of your epic adventure. xxx
Jumper I´ve got great use out of the jumper, thanks Faye. You may notice a couple of letters missing from the front - I was mistaken for a certain other nationality once too many times!! Does anyone know is Rego exists?!
Looks amazing.... I'm so jealous you're still away. The weather here is crap, been raining for the last 4 weeks...no joke! I'm just avoiding marking at the moment! Looking forward to your return. Can you believe Fionas news? Crazy! See you at Becs wedding! Yey! I'm going to Ibiza with Hannah.... last day back at Guilsborough on Friday, starting my new job on Monday. I'm scared. What's the weather like in Rio? I want to be there. Big hugs, Faye xxx p.s. nice to see my jumper is still getting lots of wear. Is it holey yet??
Thanks! Hi guys,
Just a quickie to say thank you on behalf of Joseph for the finger puppets. I think he likes them but doesn't quite have full control of his arms yet so it's anyone's guess. Needless to say I'm beginning to push him to walk now that he's almost 6 weeks old but progress is disappointing...
All the best.
Hints taken Steak and wine will be provided for a bbq when you return. We're also getting new mattresses (1 inch deluxe versions), turning off the hot water and rounding up the cats so you feel at home. Your nieces will teach you some ballet, and your nephew will remind you how to play football. Mum and I are skipping off (like the pun?) to an all-inclusive, luxury resort in the south of France. Enjoy!
Dan....i'm gushing As number one fan you will get a guaranteed place on the full 4-day slide show; every single shot taken, complete with commentary and coffee and replacements of your 'will to live' on the way out. Sign up now spaces are running out!!!
Photos Hi guys,
Just depressing myself looking at your blog but just thought I'd echo the comments re: photos. Some of them are absolute corkers (again). Suggest you set up a poster production business when (and if) you come back. Cheers.
Congratulation Dan We haven´t ever seen a baby look more like his Dad. It is like having your own little mini-me (though Joseph is far cuter).
Give our love to Lucy and the little nipper.

Eradicated... Nick, thanks for your concern. I think I picked up the worm somewhere in the Pacific but now have treated it with Gillette medication and my boyish good features have been restored. Hope that puts everyones' minds at rest.
Pete
Hairy worm Hey guys. Great to see still enjoying...Pete...felt obliged to ask if you'd noticed whats under your nose??!! Good look. Get rid before you come back!
News Hi Guys, Just to let you know that Jospeh Michael Bishop turned up at 21:50 on 12th May. He weighed in at 8lb and is a little beauty. Needless to say he's blessed with his Dad's good looks and slightly wonky toes. Mum doing fine but slightly sleep deprived. Dad on air bed in spare room!!! Loving the photos and blog.
Back at home now... Hi you both! I hope your long wait at the Papeete airport wasn't too painful. If it's any consolation, Tahiti Nui didn't really live up to our expectation partly because it rained quite a lot while we were there, and also it felt so urban compared to Moorea. Still, Antony and I were both very sad the day we left Tahiti. Hopefully our photos turn out as well as yours - if not, we will have to pinch yours!
It is long.... But it is quite good too. Some of the pictures are stunning. I like the rock jumping one, all the sunsets, and the big pointy tower one. Baby due in 6 days time (so I'm told) so will send pictures your way when I get one! Cheers guys.
Kiwi sighting Pete and Ang - still following your trip. We only saw one (live) Kiwi and that was at the Mt Bruce National Bird Santuary about halfway between Wellington and Napier. We also saw about 15 other kiwis, but they were all stuffed in the Te Papa musuem in Wellington. Happy spotting.
Safe and sound Wow, we loved the backdrop of the mountains and lakes, looks like fantastic fun. Mark wasn't sure about Pete's "front bum" in the last photo, though! xxx
Looking down from the north Hi guys, loved the skydiving adventure - braver than we were. Nice one.
We're in Paihia up't north. Yesterday we had 3 months worth of rain in 36 hours and the town was nearly a state of emergency. We were out on a day trip - oblivious - but couldn't get home that night so we had to hunker down and wait for the waters to receed. If you're up for more adventure, the north island awaits; try black water rafting or the tongariro crossing...or any of the other 100 crazy things they have thought of. Take care, have fun!
Aaargh I'm sitting here after returning from NZ, suffering from jet lag, and I'm viewing this blog for the first time. My hands are sweating! Thank God I didn't stay a day longer!
We've just sold the house, given up jobs, got married and are spending our first 11 months travelling through Asia, Australasia and South America.
NEWSFLASH: We're home.......... full info
