Fab Good to hear your news again. A couple of days before Christmas I would have quite happily swapped Commercial Street for one of the shopping malls you were in. They looked FAB.
Still snowing here...all schools closed again today.
Speak soon

Men dressed as women? My comments are better late than never - another good read Andrew.
Stories of lady boys, unsightly men with ladies dresses on, wild drunkeness, young people lying aboot drunk and spewing. No, not you guys, that is Up Helly A'. (funny how there are men who dress as women every year!).
Looking foward to hearing the news of Australia, someone said you were in Cairns. My mother's first cousin stays there, let her know I was asking for her!
Cheers.
Brian.
hi Good to hear fae you. I've forgot what the sun feels like on my skin - we've had snow or ice for the past three weeks so I'm really envious-it sounds great and looks beautiful where you've been-roll on summer!
good to hear fae you Once again - great to hear from you - your writing skills are escalating you to a god like status in our family - I'm not so sure about you sharing images of your draars (especially when you're in them)with the world in general- fever or no fever.
Granny E Hi Andy Pandy
I read your blogs avidly and can hardly wait for the next one. Such dedication to spend so much time writing to us when you could be out impressing the local females with press-ups and swimming!
We do, we do , we do appreciate it. It's all being stored up and you might publish it it in a book form for next Christmas! A nice little money earner!
Sorry to hear about the toilet episode - hope there has been no more tummy bugs. Try to get a few tips on massaging - I might get you to give me one when you get home.
Glad you are having a good time. have a lovely Christmas. Take care.
Love Granny E
Dear Rory Thanks for the feedback Rory, glad to hear you're enjoying my ramblings....and poo related words (to be honest with you, i stuck the word jobby in just for the kids, i knew you would appreciate it). Yeah, although im only 2 months in i would have to say a gap year can only be a good thing, but you'll have to work hard and make it through high school first! And maybe get a peerie saturday job to earn some pennies too.
Merry Chrismas and a Happy new New Year straight back atcha!
Hae a good een!
Brilliant! Brilliant blog again Andrew - the precious time you sacrifice is well worth it! Hazel says you shouldn't drink too many cold beers anyway! The Thai islands look wonderful - must be considered for a future holiday I think. Hope the infected feet are on the mend - take care all of you and have a happy Christmas!
Excellemt work!! Well done, Andrew, a real travelogue - Hazels comment on bottles seems to have had an immediate effect - on paper at least!!
Sweltering here at +7C and snow forecast.
Cheers,
Vietnam Your blogs just get better and better, and it's good to see some pictures, to see what you're seein. I laughed at that caption on the photo of the lady makin incence, and it said: "and that jobby thing is...". Well now I know what I'm doing after uni!! I'll just say it noo, merry Christmas and happy new year!!!! :D
Good to hear from you again. Hope you were just joking at the idea of killing a cow. Its fine that you are meeting so many other people. is it really necessary to drink so much beer?Pity the weather hasn't been kinder but its probably more comfortable than blazing sun the whole time.Take care.
Mam

To our Asian Correspondent! Excellent work, Andrew, Tokyo sounded much like what it was when I visited in 1978 burt no doubt va bit more expensive.
It is really great to have such detailed reports, ( no doubt suitably amended where necessary before publication!!)
Cheers,
David's G'dad
Incredible first blog entry, Really enjoyed reading it and got a real sense of Tokyo. The restaurant translations cracked me up. Caroline (Luke's mum's mad curly haired friend, Mother of Tom)

Great to hear your news Really enjoyed reading your blog - it's great to hear all the news of your trip so far - sounds like you didn't enjoy the Japanese food too much (the play-doh and green tea sound vile) but it was really good to see the sights and sample the culture! Look forward to your next entry on the blog.
