Where are you now?
Weather here is very changeable Thursday and Friday we had heavy showers ( mini monsoon weather)If you left work at the wrong time you arrived home like a drowned rat Ten minutes latter and it was really warm again. Saturady was a really nice day hot and sunny today started off warm but overcast is now grey and miserable.Went to John Heptinstall.s retirement party last night.
Catherine is still in Lohdon but currently out of work and feeling lonely as the other two girls have moved out.
Annette seems to like her new flat but is feeling the pressure of trying to get her thesis finished.
We expect to see Mike and Fon next weekend as we are helping Catherine move flats on Sunday and will probably srtay at Liz/s on that Saturday.
Can you add grandad Beard to your Blog also Helaen and Margaret.
Take care ,have fun love mum.
Nice report Hi Dan Glad you're getting along ok n sorry for the bouts of sickness but it is only to be expected. Do you remember going to Phuket before? Its where we hired the red, white n blue jeep that I based our old Jakarta Landcruiser scheme on. I donr remember it being a sex resort though so maybe its changed. Take care on the bikes. I'm off to UK this week for 3 weeks. See ya. Luv Dad

Hiya!
Well the food stalls are the best places to eat as we've already found out. We splashed out on some fish at a nice market and ended up with the grumblies all the next day!
Hi! The Bridge over the Kwai is down south I think and yes we have made a last minute change to stay right next to the bridge next to the river. Still loads of Tuk tuks around but they seem to enjoy trying to rip you off or take you on tours somewhere. Not tried Tom Yam yet but to be honest everything we've eaten so far is just as spicy if not more!
nice journey Hi Dan. Well thats what your experince is all about, taking the rough with the smooth. I like the idea of sleeping with your head out the window watching the stars. Enjoy your Chang Mai. Are you going to see the famous Bridge over the River Kwai on the Burma Railroad from WWII history? I think its near there. I'd love to see it. Take care. Love Dad
WOW Hey peeps sounds like your havin a great time glad your keepin safe and stayin away from the gropin pervs lol. Lovin the updates keep em comin and nick says stay away from the food stalls like grasshoppers and chicken??? as they cause some serious grumblies and go to the snake farm in Bangkok f you get a chance
x x x
great update Hey guys nice photos. Do you remember Dan we went to Bangkok n Phuket in 1989 ? You were 7!!!! It certainly looks like it changed a lot, even more modern than Jakarta. Do they still have Tuktuk taxis? I visited Pattaya once too on official R-R business at the nearby ex US airbase. Of cause I cannot remember Walking Street at all !!!!(liar!)
Enjoy n keep safe. Luv Dad
Can feel the heat Hi Dan and Amy
Love the updates and Photos keep them coming. The weather in Bournemouth is a sizziling 20c. Food bland Beer great.
Enjoy yourselves and be carefull.
Love from Paul and all in Bournemouth.
Bangkok is both modern and not. We were away from the tourist areas for a while and then as soon as you get into the centre you have the SkyTrain (monorail) and the Subway, both which are really clean, freezing cold aircon etc. It's actually alot nicer than I thought. The river was surprisingly pollution free by the looks and smells of it. I think the Thames is probably dirtier!
We won't mention the brothels to grandma... Hi both,
Again, looking fascinating. It's a much more modern and busy city scene than I expected - I think you describe it well; will you be a journalist?
Here in blighty it is Hannah's birthday and we are going over to Pete's for a BBQ. I haven't been across for 7 years so looking forward to seeing everyone. I have printed off some of your blog pages to show Grandma. Must get her onto the net.
Enjoy and be careful!
Love Lou.
wonderful Great to know that you are both so well and safe! Photos great and Claudia would so love a glider! Flight looked grand. Enjoy yourselves,
Love Lou
