Nice!! Yo what up Alex. My bro's wife is from Mauritius, so if you see the little hong kong store, that is their shop. Hope all is well, love the commentary as it quite alluring. Cant wait to see you back here stateside in Cali. Cheers! Jay
AMAZING! Hi Alex! I have just caught up on the last few messages, and I am so jealous! Your descriptions are fantastic, and you often make me laugh out loud. I can't wait to see tons of photos, and to see you again. Stay safe, dry, and have a ton of fun for all of us who are stuck on dry land!
Mark has a point Good stuff Alex. I second Mark's request for pics of French girls, with an added request for Australian, Darwinian and Balinese pics. I'm sure you're really miffed about missing the end of investment banking as an industry! Lars
can you climb, on a boat? Hei Alex,
Great post! It could, almost, make me consider being stuck on a boat for days on end! There would still need to be a bouldering wall and a cycling track, of course.
We (ie M&Ms) just got back from a week climbing in Verdon. We'll have to take you there one day (before you grow fins): the climbing is just world class. We stopped in Chambéry on the way back to attend Cécile's wedding.
Looking forward to reading about your next adventure!
Love,
Mapp
catching up Just read through all the entries. Your writing has gotten so much better over the years (mine hasn't). The GR20 bit is hysterical! Most important, where are the pictures of the hot french girls?
The trip sounds fantastic so far. So jealous.
Pear wanted us to meet up with you in December/January. It's a long shot, but would be great if we could do it. Lu and I are trying to go to Iceland in 2 weeks.
corsica Alex, good to know you still have American sensibilities!
And this trip also sounds marvelous!
PS I just gave my G35 a carwash but wish a horse had just stuck its head inside my tent.
! "When the sun sets the sky is the color of black ink, dotted with bright stars. There’s the Southern Cross, tilted on its side. The Milky Way looks like a stationary cloud, so high up it’s untouched by the winds. At some point the moon interrupts the black, spilling a white glow over everything. Only the brightest stars can compete. Then the blackness chases the moon away again..... At night it turns black, reflecting the ink and the void that loom above it, as well as the stars and eventually the moon when it rises. The sea is ominous because it looks to be deeper than the stars are high."
Awesome brother ....
Corsica Thanks for sharing your story. I found it very amusing and look forward to the next episode.
We have been to Corsica quite a few times and have actually bought a house there (which we are now selling) but haven't been climbing in the mountains.
Best wishes,
Lesley Bosley

Too much time behind a desk. Too much time with techmology. Too much time dreaming of other places. Too much time surfing the Internets looking at photos of places that inspire. Too much time wanting to be psyched. So how is there not enough time? Mr. Earle's reply: “This is the best time of the day, the dawn, the final cleansing breath unsullied yet by acrid fumes or death’s cacophony, the rank refuse of unchained ambition.”
After spending too much time doing the aforementioned, he realized he was a dull boy. He changed his mind, he ch... full info
