Nearly done Well that was a marathon update. Good to hear of all the various trips, falls and travels around South Africa. I only thought to check FB just before going to bed because we're off for the weekend and there was all that reading to do!! No need for a book at bedtime tonight.
We will await the final instalment before hearing of everything first hand next week. What do you fancy for your first meal back home? - Just don't expect five course silver service!!!
I enjoyed your Africa post. It looks like you are having a good time there. My blog is looking for travel photos. If you have time, email us some at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com and check us out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun on your travels,
Eric
you did what?! wow... We learnt about all the things you need to do to qualify to lead a game walk... impressive, and a little scary! Don't think we'll be able to promise you anything quite so exciting here, unless you fancy stroking a cheetah?
(ps we've got lots of impala! teeheehee)
What a tale! That all sounded amazing - what a fantastic experience for you all. Antelope Park sounds like an inspirational place to be with a wonderful feeling of being a part of it and not just a sightseer.
Its also good to hear that Oasis Overland boldly go where others fear to tread - even if I am mixing my metaphors a bit there!
How on earth can the rest of the trip compare with what you've just witnessed? I guess it will be up to Victoria Falls to bring on the next round of oohs and aahs!
And what tales you will have to tell your niece in the future - not long to go before her arrival now.
Great to hear from you Sounds as though everything is still going swimmingly, at Lake Malawi at least. When do you get another chance of a swim - hopefully not at the top of Victoria Falls!
The wanderlust must be catching - or we are just jealous - and I've prebooked our retirement cruise today so that we've got something to look forward to as well.
We can't believe that you've been gone more than three weeks already - does it seem to be flying past for you as well?
Looking forward to hearing the next account of your impressions of Zimbabwe.
OK, so rather than fill my day-to-day blog with details of my travels, I might as well follow plenty of others examples and have a dedicated travel one here!
I've travelled around a bit, nothing too adventurous, mostly chasing round motor racing events, but in March I set off for three months in Africa, and I can't wait!
As the map below shows, it's a fair old trek and I'm really looking forward to it. The full itinerary for what I'm doing can be found on the Oasis Ov... full info
