happy thnaksgiving Hi, just a quick Hppy Thanksgiving and I love your blogs. It will be so good to have you home where we can talk about your great adventure. I'm doing good and better every day. Love Granma
helloo i got your txt. very strange and i txted back but it didnt work. thanks tho! that was fun to get a message from you. sounds like you are starting to feel very at home in Paris. I am sorry that you have to leave so soon, tho probably not as sorry as you. I hope you feel ready when its time to go home:) love you and have a good week! Say hello to mama and papa!
just kidding... It sounded like it because I was reading quickly, then I looked again and realized it was not the same. Though still sounds interesting. Ok I'm done commenting on your blog now.
camera Hey booger
I hope your camera turns up! what a bummer! I lost my camera too in costa rica and it was almost a relief not to feel like i had to document every trip.. maybe you feel the same?...maybe?...anyway, i love you and miss you a ton! wish i could come see you with the parents! that would be a blast! still counting on you taking me there someday and showing me all your adventures!
Love you!, L
Milk I was having a terrible time with the milk situation, because I love me a big cold tall glass of milk and the demi-écremé wasn't cuttin it. If you're interested in something more skim-like, I suggest simply lait écremé. It sounds like it would be more creamy, but ironically, it is not. Oh, what a wonderful day it was when I discovered this.
Linea I'M excited about you seeing Linea in Monet's Garden in real life. I loved that book as a kid as well. And you saw an emu farm? Goodness, France is certianly exciting. :) I hope you find your camera!
Um we are basically living the same life. Sugar for breakfast and non-refridgerated milk! Whoa. It turns out Parisians are people too, who would have known?
num yummy hey A, i miss you! i had a dream last night that i was studying abroad again and 6 months passes by in about 2 days. It was sad and made me think of you and how much fun you are having. Its so great that you are out and about so much and soaking it all up. No regrets! have fun in London! be safe! love you, Lauren
we are out of Alaska Hi, I'm home from Alaska had a wonderful time with your Dad. He and Mom are loking forward to being with you soon, I will be envious while they are hugging you around the neck. France sounds very interesting and confusing, sounds like they are not very efficient with transporatation. As if we are, sometimes the pony express was more so. How are the studies? Your comments about retaining the French words in your brain while you translate others sounds like my attempts at Hebrew. I thought my problem was the strate of the mind after 70+. Glad your more mobile and be careful you are not fully healed yet. Keeping you in prayer and love Grandma
you are crazy hi crazy
this one def made me giggle. you are so funny. sounds like you are getting a kick out of it, too...maybe. Sounds like fun still and really makes me remember all the weird stuff that happens when you study abroad- so much stuff that is so droll for the French/ or Ticos but totally bizarre for us. Good luck and ttys, ps- just emailed you as well.
wow that sounds like an amazing weekend. i sure hope i get to go back with you some day so you can show me all the cool stuff you saw and learned about. Glad your ankle is doing better too! what a relief for you to not have to drag those crutches around. So you have ordered a power cord? do you read these comments? lol. ttys! LOVE YOU!
Lebanese crepes... If you ever go to the Centre Pompidou, you should check out the lebanese crepe stand nearby... if I remember correctly, if you're standing in front of the building on the side with the big sculptures (not the colorful side) and looking at it, you should go to the very left side of the plaza-like area in front of it...... turn around and walk 28 paces. Ok so I don't know how to describe it without using gestures or some sort of diagram, but seriously, AMAZING, you should go, if my directions aren't clear, just go to that general area and ask someone. Yummm.
Wowza! Yay Abbey!!! Your adventure sounds so fun...I'm officially jealous. AND I'm so excited you are off your crutches. You have already done so many awesome things, imagine what you could do with no crutches! Keep up the travel blog. I love it and can't wait to hear more. Love you bunches!
HI you are so funny, and that is an amazing trip. Im glad you werent on the train when it crashed....:( yikes! you should go back when you are healed and climb that jungle gym. it looks sweet! anyway, i love you!
Lauren
Oh no! Haha! I literally gasped when I read "Tartare traditionnel"... at least you didn't have to eat it! It sounds like you're having a good time so far! On a side note, I'm quite impressed that you're keeping up with this blog like you are; you're doing far better than I did.
Raw meat is horrific Oh my. My poor, vegetarian heart cringes for you. The pictures are all very lovely and french, with a tough of je ne said quoi to them. :) I hope beginning class goes well for you, Abbey!
sooo cool! Wow! Sounds like you are having a blast even though some of it is very challenging! Can't wait to talk to you again! Jared showed me your pics you put online of your apt and streets. It looks so beautiful. Is the weather pleasant or is it different than you expected?
Love you and talk to you soon!
Lauren
