See you there dad...
Excellent intro to Angkor touring! Dear Andrew and Alexia,
Thank you for posting this well-researched...and quite entertaining...account of your journey to Angkor. The antics of your tuk-tuk driver Hum kept me amused. I laughed out loud when he told you that the "Rolous temple group doesn't exist anymore". (-:
Since 2005, I've devoted myself to studying the portraits of the sacred women of Angkor Wat. I have identified 1,796 women so far and each image is unique. Today, they're called by the Sanskrit terms devata or apsaras. No living person knows what the ancient Khmer called them. Their identity, significance and function remain a mystery.
I actually found your post because you referred to Shakti, the female energy of the universe. Indeed that seems to be part of the solution to this puzzle.
I will refer your post to friends visiting Angkor for the first time. You really captured the flavor, depth and even the humor of Cambodia.
what can I say, we don't know the Al Saud family tree inside and out. I mean there are 30.000 royals as far as we were told and also we were told that this dude is a prince so who the heck am I to doubt it? If he wants to be a prince, fine by me. Could not care less either way. The whole social structure is not to my particular liking anyway.
LOVED reading all about your saudi adventures!!! and Alexia your photos are amazing! really! esp. love the one outside the ancestoral home and the 3 layers. Keep 'em coming! xox
We both love Cambodia too and relate to the sufferings of your country. The future seems bright, you are a proud and strong nation and you will only become stronger and better! Enjoy your beautiful country!
I Love Cambodia We are Khmer, so we must take care of our richest temple. and absolute against Thailand which is a very jealous country that invaded Cambodian without shyness.
Easy and fun to read, good intresting contens Thanks Alexia mou for ceeping up your writing, for sharing your expierience, it is like I am there with you.
Love your Mum
Hai I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first
comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep
visiting this blog very often.

ATD, ABD and AFD are currently living in Manila, Philippines.
We have so far lived in Riyadh, Osaka, Hanoi, Bucharest and Manila.
Our joint journeys begun when we met each other on an early Sunday morning in Adelaide where ATD was living at the time and ABD was travelling through. It was one of those "shoes at first sight" love things that ended up in us getting married in India on January 2009. In 2001 2 became 3 with the arrival of our little ray of sun, our son-shine Agonda.
