RIHLA Presnetaion Observation I think you do well on your presentation. I really liked your quotes, especially " journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” – Lao Tze. Each one has a deep meaning and you explained each one well. Though, when you were presenting, you were moving around a lot and didn't make eye contact with everyone ( you were looking at ms.held a lot). Just some suggestions are to limit your moving, by taking a deep breath before you go. Also, maybe to look at the walls in the back, so it seems that you are looking at everyone else. :)
I think the significance of the quotes was interpreted very well, and the quotes can really teach about history and how to achieve things people have always strived for.
Good job! Dora you did a very good job! I really enjoyed the quotes you gave and I think you had very good explaintions. Next time I would suggest making eye contact with everyone because you seemed to only look in one direction.
Good job ptesenting. However, I think one thing you can do better next time is elaborate more on the quotes. I understood some, but I still wished I could've heard a little more explanation. I liked your quotes.
About Your Blog Hey Dora, I like your blog. I can see that you saw that teens, and others, use music. as their pull through. I agree to this, music can help us feel a certain way, and can even help mend a problem. I also agree with your view with the countries, I also want to see how others perceive us.
One thing I can say was that Jay-Z's album was also popular because it was advertised weeks before and people were waiting for it to come out.
RIHLA #1 Comment Dora,
In both your Bio and your first journal, you have demonstrated some of the strongest summarizing that I have seen in our first RIHLA. Great job!
Also, you mentioned that remembering 9/11 is important because of all the lives that were lost that day. Do you think there is perhaps even another (maybe larger) reason why we should analyze the events of that day?
Best,
Ms. Held

Also learn things I could have never imagined. I can't wait to see what this journey ... full info
