Very Pertinent Thought Hi Dan,
Your latest blog post is very relevant and suggests some exciting new possibilities. I have the feeling that very soon we will be working out of virtual offices and interacting in cyberspace and 'cyberoffices' rather than in concrete buildings.
I am also in complete agreement with your thoughts on 'who has been civilizing whom?'. The Mayans, the Hawaians, the Native Americans, the so-called 'primitive' tribes in the Andamans, in Nilambur, have all displayed a much higher sense of values, a much higher understanding of spirituality than most organized religions.
Grateful to be on your mailing list.
Love to you and Kim,
Paul
Great Pics All organized religion eventually commits serious breaches of its own moral code. As 'the training' taught ... organizations soon become about their own survival at the expense of all else. On a lighter note, hope you and Kim can come and visit us sometime.
Love you lots!
Its been over 10 years since I was in Playa....it looks more vibrant than the sleepy town I remember. Loved the place then...your pictures make me want to return!
Happy travels...your cousin from Colorado!
WOW ! Hi Dan & Kim, delighted to see the Kerala backwater pictures. I am from that part of Kerala and have lived along the canal for many years in the town of Alappuzha, or Alleppey as it used to be called earlier. Your pics capture the mood and the pace so well that I can almost hear the ripple of the water and smell the decaying water weeds. I have become a subscriber to your blog and am looking forward to going through all that is already there, as well as to getting your latest updates.
Thanks for sending me this link, Dan.
Warm regards, Paul
very informative! great blog! Great pictures! The informations are very helpful indeed. Ive been there once and i agree you just need to have a walk to find where you want to stay. Sometimes you just dont need advance booking exept for peak season. Now you know where to stay in your next visit. Come again soon!
Amazing Thanks so much for sharing these and all the other photos with us. It is the next thing to being there. When you consider the harm done by the christians during the 'crusades', is it any wonder why the moslems want to destroy us. Of course their religious fervor is a nuts as that of the christians. That's why I belong to the church of what's happenin now and attend St. Sniffens for services.
Love to you guys!
Brought back memories I especially enjoyed reading about your experiences in Cairo. Steve and I were there in 1990 and it does not appear to have changed an iota... We took the train to Luxor (highly recommended if you have the time) and flew back.
That's too bad about the Fairmont...
yea but! history is all very nice in the class room but i can read about it in a book, you are not writing a book but some LIGHT entertainment for your friends! lighten up Dan! what did you do? stop cutting and pasting the google explanation. Ellis x
