WELCOME HOME Welcome home, weary travelers!! We were going to pop over today and make you a welcome home sign--boy, wouldn't we have been surprised! I am so glad you made it home without any further Millie challenges! We are looking forward to seeing you and hearing more about your adventures.
Home again, home again.......... What a wonderful trip for the whole family. I do have to agree with Maria regarding the camping versus hotels, but for your family experience it was the right thing. It's good to hear Mille is finally on her best behavior and I hope that remains the case. I hope you had a great nights sleep in your own beds.
Welcome Well, welcome to our time zone!! I know a little something about the adjusting--still a little out of sorts from our travel. Sounds like a great surprise for the kids! Ride the coasters for me-they are supposed to be awesome!! You know my Mark would be right there commiserating with you about the tolls, Mark!
See ya soon.
Maggie
Now what will I read??? Home already?? But there is still so much to see! Have really enjoyed 'seeing' the US with the Royces. You have visited so many places I hope to get to one day. Your entries and photos have been great. Thanks for the memories! By the way, had a great black raspberry pie for the 4th right here in beautiful Burgettstown, PA!
Go Millie! It has been so much fun reading your travel blog and seeing your fabulous pictures. My list of places that I NEED to see keeps getting longer. Hopefully Millie has decided that she is going home with you. We continue to pray for your safe return and count us in for tickets to the slide show!
Happy 4th Happy 4th of July to you!! Love the posing, Mark. You all look very presidential! It looks like your 4th weather is better than ours. It was dreary all day and by late afternoon it started raining. Today is more rain and thunder storms. Glad Millie is (whisper this) holding her own. Knock on wood, throw salt over your shoulder, cross your fingers, God willing!
Drive safely!
Maggie
It is something you'll never forget I took a car trip across the country when I was 13 with my Mom, her best friend and her niece and I still remember it. You had your share of RV problems, but otherwise I think you had a trip planned for the kids and for you too and it sounds like it really worked well. We do have some great sights in the East, but nothing like those in the West. I hope the trip home will be problem free. The boys will have a great answer to the old, "what did you do on your summer vacation?" Love to all of you and I LOVE PIE!
I am faithfully reading about your journey. Have wanted to add comments to each one, but didn't want to over-do it. However, seeing Maria with the oar on the whitewater trip has done it for me! You go girl!
Sayin stuff Well, it seemed like Kevin was about to smash his icecream ball. (The expression was priceless!) Also, I want to know if anyone fell off the raft during your rafting trip. See ya guys at the beach!
Mark and Maggie Hey guys. I made it home safe and sound-except for a little food poisoning from the airplane food. We are loving your blog and photos!! It looks gorgeous out there. We are glad that you are still having a good time in spite of Millie's flaws. We will keep our fingers crossed for you!!
lucky Man you guys are so lucky. We would love to be on a vacation like that. Yellowstone looks soo awesome. Well we can't believe how cool everthing looks. See ya as long as Millie doesn't break down. Oh yea Elliot and Kevin you are soooo cool you rock
Several years ago, Kathy, Floyd, Carolyn and assorted kids did that Lake Powell trip in a houseboat--the photos were gorgeous. Sounds like a must do to me. Your photos are equally awesome! Keep them coming. Kevin--did the tooth fairy find you way out there in Utah?
WOW Hello, Royce's. It sounds like you are having fun in spite of Millie Moneypit. We have decided we will nickname you "The Griswalds". As we finish up our trip we will be thinking of you and keeping our fingers crossed. Can't wait to see you and hear the full story of your trip. Keep smilin'! Oh, yeah, Elliot, We LIKE PIE, TOO!
Great Haiku Poem Kevin that is a great Poem, I bet there is lots of inspiration there for poems. Your mom may have told you we are planning a trip to the same area you are heading into using an RV too. We leave in 11 days. Any advice you would give us our our kids about the trip, things to do, or ways to get ready for it?
Thanks ahead of time for your recomendations
Chris
keep smilin' I have always thought of your trip as a prelude to a similar trip that I could take with Maggie and the boys. So far I see I will need to bring a mechanic, a doctor, a spare car, and I will have to get a Hazel (whatever that may be)
I am anxious to hear the full story upon your return, but keep the journals coming. I think you should consider selling admission tickets to the "telling of the travels" when you get back. Count me in for 4 tickets (hoping Jack will be free).

I, too, have been enjoying your vacation stories. Bob and I lived in Arizona for a few years, and words cannot explain its beauty. You are quite brave traveling in an older model RV. We had an RV for a short time, and it was so much fun! Continue with safe travels.
Just some mail from your favorite Mailman!! Your lucky. I wish I was there! The slide rock looks cool! I like pie. Im gonna write that after every comment.
