Small Wild Goose Pagoda

The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is often overlooked thanks to Xi’an also containing the Large Wild Goose Pagoda. Yet, it is a beautiful structure that is well worth the admittance price. There are some wonderful gardens and old buildings that spread out around the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and these additional attractions add beauty to the location. A small art studio is also present where local artists make amazing works for sale.





The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is actually climbable from the inside, but our guide informed us that due to constant draining of the water table, the pagoda is now unstable and climbing it consistently might lead to damage in the future. Indeed, it is a slightly slanted building, standing not entirely straight thanks to this water table issue. The top of the tower is also partially missing thanks to a dramatic lightning strike that hit it.
