So here we are in the land of smiles!!!

What a beautiful country.... If any of you have ever travelled to Thailand than you can understand why we have chose to come here so many times before. It truely is an amazing place!

From the white sandy shores to the endless shopping, it really has something to offer everyone. We have spent alot of time on the beaches. As we hadn't had the opportunity so much in Bali due to the state of theirs. I had really missed the beaches here.

We have gone to Similan Island (never been before) and although it is some distance away compared to the other much closer islands, I am glad we did! We were taken too some magnificent snorkling spots with gorgeous crystal clear water, unlike anything you've seen in postcards. The water and sky is so blue that the photos we took does not give it any justice. We were lucky enough to come across a lone green sea turtle, swimming around just minding it own business. The divers that we were with fed it some banana (yes they eat banana, weird!) and it hung around to swim with us for a bit. What a placid creature. Letting us get so close to touch it. I have never quite done anything like this. Truely a once in a lifetime experience. Have some pretty cool photos!!

We hadn't done to many tours as we have done majority of them already. Just spent alot of time relaxing, eating and walking around observing the different cultures that come through this place. Aussies are always a laugh! Very cocky and roam around like they own the place. You can see what a little bit of money in what is an otherwise poverty stricken country, does to peoples heads! The French and Russians!! Wow who can get me started..... They are so arrogant, rude and disrespectful! I'm not sure if I look forward to going to France where they are in their own territory! I'm sure it would be much worse. Phuket must have began a major tourist campaign targeted at Russians as they were absolutly everywhere. Most locals thought we were too! 😊

On Valentines day Peter took me to Khai island, which he proposed to me on 5 years ago... Corny I know but very sweet, holds a lot of memories!! And definetly the best island for snorkling with beautiful tropical fishes..... Plus we found 'Nemo'!! Literally 😊 Very cute. Peter was having a ball being swarmed by hundreds of little fish then jumping in the water and watching them scatter off.... Was very funny! Some of them are aggresive little buggers, nearly took off a finger. lol. Will be sure to upload the vid 😊

A few days ago we went to the Big Buddha (a huge stone buddha statue located on a hill overlooking the island) and Peter was blessed by a monk.... Yikes.... Discovered Chalong temples, very old and beautiful, and went to downtown Phuket to see some off the very old buildings.... Sino Portuguese.... Really cool.

The hotel has been good. A little boutique place around 2 min walk from the beach with a rooftop plunge pool. But we have mainly used the beach and a hotel down the street to swim 😊 But the staff were very nice, even leaving cute little chocolates addressed to Mrs Kristy Carlyle for valentines day 😊 A nice touch.... Have ran into many local people that we have known here for years. They always claim to remember us but I dont know about that.... They must see so many faces.... But there are a few that really look after us so we continue to give them business whenever we visit.

So we leave yet again. But I am not sad, because I know that I will be back sometime in the not to distant future 😊 Top holiday destination....Arrived in Bangkok today. So will update the blog very shortly with our adventures here.

xx Take care all....

Much Love
