We stopped to get a water and these kids were playin in the water
We woke up to realize that the toothpaste we bought yesterday is Salt flavor. I must of only looked at the Lao side of it, not realizing there was english on the other side. It had snowflake like things on it, so I thought it was minty. Woops! Tris said it tastes pretty bad. Tris also bought deodrant to find that its scent is Death by Chocolate. Hahaha. We headed to Bolaven Cafe for breaky to enjoy their wonderful iced coffee's. Their food was really good too.
We rented a bike and were on our way. We rode 90 km to the waterfall that Lonley Planet recommended called Tat Lo. We weren't that impressed. It took forever to find, you couldn't swim and it wasn't that spectacular looking. Lonley Planet described it as boasting mint green pools by the peaceful river. Well the pools weren't minty, nor was it swimable between all the rocks! Oh well! We left and road to another waterfall called
We had to pay 12,000kip to get in so we expected it to be something special. It's native land and they've set up a museum to teach about their tribe, they have stores with scarves that they make right in front of you, and there is a restaraunt over looking the waterfall. The waterfall again wasn't anything spectacular. The water was pretty muddy looking. After seeing the waterfalls in Luang Prabang, and the Erawan waterfalls in Kanchanaburi its gotta be a pretty cool falls to impress us.
Regardless, the day was fun and we go to see a lot of village life. Cows on the side of the road, pigs running around, children waving and women smiling. Tomorrow we head to 4000 islands.
