Bhitarkanika National park often takes the onlooker to a remote
sensibility to the wonder land of bhitarkanika is a mysterious place giving
entirely a new approach to the visitors.Sometimes heart griipped by
fear and sometimes stunned with wonder.That is the unique feature of
Bhitarkanika.
We planned a holiday trip unknowingly suggested by world wide
web.We contacted a tour operator 'prime tours and travels'who helped
us right from obtaining permisson from the forest Officer to
accommodation and Boat Trip.
One cannot escape but enjoying the enchanting boat ride to
immerse into the lovely lush green pristine waters.The wilderness
looks a floating bed which spreads 650 aq km in the river delta of
Brahmani and Bhitarini rivers.It is another amazing scene while
approaching dynamical softthorns like things protruding from the mud are
the roots called'pneumatophores' help the mongrooves breath in the marshy and during
the high tide when the sea rushing into down the trunks of these
magical trees.We are fortunate to have a glimps of high tide in the
early hours
after a night stay at Gupti.the guide gave a small
narration that the tide too had its course of observing punctuality
that for every six hours the tide comes to the close heels of the
island and withdraws.By that time the basking crocodiles disaapear in
the waters,disappointing the visitors.
We had another small experience in the Bird sancturay We climbed upto
the high rise tower to watch the tiny kingfishers which swim like
fish in the air.One could have the glimps of having panoromic view of
the mangrooves.
