2you can see other towers in the background. these photos were taken from the rooftop of a nearby shop. a guy dragged us in off the street promising great views. we waited for the hard sell of gift items from the shop... but no, they were just pleased to let us see the view, take photos and leave with no pressure to buy at all!!! nice.
7we walked for ages to find this cafe, only to find it closed! however, the owner was very nice, gave us cold cokes and a lift back to civilisation on his grandfathers big noisy motorcycle!
9a lingam. i forget what this one represents. please forgive me. it was probably 'wealth' or 'peace of mind' they were my favourites.
10all these people came running over to be involved when they saw me and monica with cameras. we felt like celebrities as people literally thrust babies into our hands....
