Your true traveller finds boredom rather agreeable than painful. It is the symbol of his liberty - his excessive freedom. He accepts his boredom, when it comes, not merely philosophically, but almost with pleasure.
- Aldous Huxley
I have mentioned a bit about what you see on the roads here. And thought it a good idea to dedicate an album to just that so you might get an closer understanding if you have never been too this part of the world. It is fascinating! I had seen some ridiculous and scary things in South America, but this was different. Where here the roads are in a , much better state of affairs, the mentality on them isn’t! Ok, so Mexico had held the number one slot for craziest people on the road I have ever seen, but they are at least in cars and have steel cages around them for protection. Here, in Cambodia and Vietnam, its just as chaotic, if not more, but on mopeds, bicycles and motorbikes. Some of the things you see just defying belief. And even when you think you are used to they way of life and transport, something else comes along that just defies reason. Here are some of the photos I have tried so hard to take from moving vehicles of the world about the roads in Cambodia and Vietnam
