The Tres Amigos touchdown in downtown Hong Kong for an advernture of a lifetime!
We already have so many stories to tell after only five days away from home. here are just a few...
Suprisingly enough, the accomodation left down to Luc to arrange, was aptly named the 'Carlton Hostel' situated in the Chung King Mansions or more fondly known as the 'House of Horrors'. Nevertheless our accomodation was everything the Carlton Nightclub Port Talbot is, a bit shitty, not the biggest and home to a few 'odd types'... so totally IRRESISTIBLE!! One of those you know you shouldn't but your going to anyway places.
After a day and a half sight seeing, which consisted of Lauren taking orienteering to different levels, Luc cracking the whip and walking the legs of us and Gemma getting swollen legs i.e. Cankles, we finally reached the peak of Hong Kong to see the fantastic skyline. Then we got down to business and discovered a whole new side of HK...
The night markets, local cuisine and alcohol, lots and lots of alcohol:-
Night 1
We found our 'local' Irish Bar "Murphys" and got involved with the craic and buckets
of beer! Happy Days. A true home from home.
Night 2
We found our 'local' Penthouse DJ birthday party - Free Bar - Luc and Lauren were Happy. A Beyonce Playing Poduim - So Was Gemma.
Night 3
We found our 'local' Rugby Haunt - Our Favourite Night Yet ;-). Where it was custom to dance on the bar and we were initiated with a bottle of Vodka and a jug of Coke. - Again something for everyone! Lauren was the first Tres Amigo who ended the night with her head down le bog!
Big thanks to Kayleigh O'Dwyer (a fellow Port Toiletan now residing in HK). She was the hostest with the mostest, she got us out of bed and into town with a gentle push towards the best nightlife, quirky bars and designer shops - much to Gemma's delight.
All in all HK was a pleasant suprise. Ever the extremist Gemma wanted to stay, get a flat and spend all her time in the shops. Ever the optimist Lauren loved every minute, wanted to stay longer but couldn't control her excitement for exploring the rest of Asia. Ever the drunk Lucy was
far too pissed or hungover to comment.
Peace and Love

Ps. Typhoon Warning No.1 was scary fun, the crap we bought in the markets has inevitably turned our wrists green, we have been ill, we have been drunk, we have always been safe but never ever disappointed!!
WE HEART HONG KONG!!!
Next stop Vietnam...
