Today Mostafa took Kellie and I into the practice area and up onto the ice. What an experience! We took lots of photos and Mostafa let us pose with his ice axe 😊 Mostafa helped us through the difficult areas - he had crampons on so much better balance than us on the ice. He took us to see the remains of a helicopter that crashed up here in 2005. Not much left of it now. Great view of Base Camp from there and it was great seeing some climbers in action. Ryan and Al were out practicing so we watched them for a while. I think I would like to learn how to climb when I go back to NZ....
