Hello All: Candy here. The rest of the team sware they will begin to download some pictures. This has just been amazing. Of course, this is the Capitol of China and the seat of Government. We went to the Olympic sites that they are still building. They have a lot of people working but it looks to me like they are going to need them. NOt much looks ready. Then we spent an amazing day at the Great Wall. It is on top of very steep mountain ridges and it runs 4000 miles. It is hard to imagine the many people who built it and the many lives spent there. It was a wonderful day. Since the national congress is meeting, we could not get to Tianamen(sp) Square the other day, but today we went through the Gate to the Forbidden City and went all over the Square. Father is very good to us here and we accomplished all he had asked us to do. Waves of how incredible this place is now and of course the long and intricate histry. We can hardly believe that we are here. Tomorrow we will continue in the Walled City then take the night train to Xian. It is one of the old coapitols of China and where the Terra Cotta Army is located. The polution on most days is thick like fog but today with wind it was nice outside and blue skies. We were very happy. There is English signs and explanations everywhere. Tjhey are getting ready for the world to visit so it has been pretty easy to get around and to communicate. Guess I better get off this comp[utore but others will sgn on in the next 24 hours. love to all, China Team
