vietnam update

Have spent last two days in hanoi. We arrived back from our trip at 5am, so we did boring stuff like washing and booking trains. Helen arrived in the afternoon and we headed to a vegetarian restaurant which had amazing food! Had a cocktail each too. Then early night given early start. Spent today at ho chi minh museum. Me and el are now jacketless as we believe they were stolen from our hostel room as had them there and they vanished. More annoyingly my extra camera battery, memory card and camera case were in the pocket!. We then caught a very horrible train to ninh binh. Hard seat was not just hard seat, there was chicken wire on windows and so cramped and dirty. People then started smoking despite no smoking signs!. Helen had go at them but they continued so we somehow managed to get our way into dining cart and with a bit of lying saying I had asthma and just refusing to move we got to do rest of journey there where we made a lovely vietnamese friend who translated for us and joined us to play cards. Weather here not great so unsure of plans for tomorrow yet.
