10 more sleeps

Only 10 more sleeps until the "John and Iris' Awesome Adventure" begins. Did I say 'only' 10 days, that seems like an eternity, and whose sleeping???
We have dreamed and talked about this for a very long time, and now that we are officially retired old foggies, it is time to embark on this adventure of a life time (again, with each one increasing in time spent) Who knows, our next adventure of a life time may take us away for a year ....or more, maybe. And where will it take us????????? But, I digress, back to thiiiiis trip.
We leave Campbell River on the evening of Oct 27 and fly out of Vancouver at 2Am on the 28th, putting us in Hanoi at 9Am on the 29th. All in all about 20 hours later. Not looking forward to that part, but it is "all part of the adventure"
The plan (but you know, the best laid plans......,)is to cover seven countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, all in 6 months. We are soooooo looking forward to this adventure.
