We actually had a great night’s rest on the train to Lau Cai. We then took a shuttle bus to our hotel, the Victoria http://www.victoriahotels-asia.com/eng/hotels-in-vietnam/sapa-resort-spa The Four star hotel is fantastic. We had a nice breakfast and then hiked down to Cat Cat village and saw the Hmong tribes. The hike was a bit strenuous back up for Ariel but everything was beautiful. The women in their costumes from the Black Hmong to the Red Dao, each seemingly more colorful and friendly then the next. We had lunch at the Bamboo Restaurant (all part of the package). Then we got to our wonderful rooms. Courtyard balconies and Front door views of the Lake. We took a quick swim at their pool and spa and then Alex and Ariel played with the goats and fed the rabbits. Now, I am getting all showered up for my date with my beautiful wife. I understand we are headed back to the Red Dao. Not sure we want to leave tomorrow night. But too many great places yet to visit.

The late afternoon clouds are rolling in. It is an amazing sight as we are in the mountains and they seem to float in without a breeze. To make it even more special the Vietnamese flute player makes the experience unbelievable. The lights from the city below through the clouds make spectacular and even a little eerie sight. The dinner at Red Dao was fantastic. There was so much food and it was so good. From the corn soup to the Vietnamese Pork to the Ginger Chicken. The flute player was still playing as we arrived home to collapse in our food coma. It is amazing we have Wifi in a place that is a nine hour remote train ride from Hanoi. Eventhough the secure connections are difficult to hold
