After the excitement and open air of our motorbike adventures it was back down to earth with a bump. The overnight bus across the border to the city of Hue in Vietnam was a real ordeal. The consequences of the brutal dehumanising years these people endured must surely have a deep impact on their psyche. But I think you are right if you had time to travel around the country you would surely have met warmer friendlier Vietnamese.
